Home: Man City, Benfica, Ajax, Qarabag
Away: Bayern, Juventus, Slavia, Newcastle

I just want to avoid the long trip to Kairat Almaty. Otherwise don't really care about the matchups, there will be 2-3 tough games and rest should be clear wins. There was a lot of discussion last year but to me it's clear we try to finish as far up as possible. Not sure if 1-4 is that big of a difference but goal should be top 2.

Ajax, City and Qarabag all came out for me in the random simulator. That's three of the 8 I predicted. Not sure on H or A. Not too bad.

This is Transfermarkt's ranking according to each club's value on their site. Arsenal has more than double the value of the next team in pot 2.

Yeah I noticed that. That actually makes it look more in order of the strength of teams in the pots (on paper as it should).

• The 16 teams in positions 9 through to 24 play in the knockout phase playoffs, in February, to earn a place in the round of 16

yes, it's the sophomore (that's American terminology) season of this format. I enjoyed it last season as I thought I would.

All non-English teams (ie Barca) in pot 1 are guaranteed to play 2 PL sides to satisfy the national constraints. Spurs and Newcastle obviously the easiest. I have a feeling we will play Liverpool however.

Home - Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, Monaco.

I really want us to play Bodo Glimt away. LOL
