The transfer balance for Barcelona from the 2021-2022 season through the 2024-2025 season is +2.76 million euros.

The transfer balance for Liverpool over the same period is -233.5 million euros.

That’s a difference of approximately 230 million euros.

At the same time, we have won more significant domestic trophies, while Liverpool was slightly more successful than us in the Champions League.

As for salaries, I'm not going to make comparisons. I'll explain why. For example, we know from public sources that Diaz's salary is 3 million euros. That's less than Conor Bradley's! I've always wondered how the hell they kept him on such a contract for so many years.

But!

Paul Gorst of the Liverpool Echo refutes: under a contract signed in 2022, Luis receives an average of £140,000 per week, or €8.3 million per year. This is a fairly reliable source, if you believe Liverpool fans. And these figures are closer to market realities. In short, public data when it comes to Liverpool players' salaries is not reliable.

So, Liverpool has spent 230 million euros more than us over the last 4 seasons.

At the same time, if we talk about the titles won, it seems to me that we have been more successful.

In the Champions League, over four seasons, we have - 1/2, 1/4 and two eliminations from the group stage.

Liverpool have four seasons in the Champions League - final, 1/8, 1/8 and in one season they didn't even get into the Champions League.

Ultimately, we can say that they were a little more successful than us in the Champions League.

It’s insane how we made a profit in 3 of those 4 seasons

I don’t understand what idiotic waste of money @Birdy is talking about.

Our clear failure is Víctor Roque, who was bought for 30 million euros. However, thank God, we managed to sell him for 26 million euros.

As for the salaries, yes, obviously the huge contracts of Lewandowski and Fati are Laporta’s mistakes.

To me it makes no sense for Isak to go to Liverpool. They just bought a striker you will have to compete with sounds less than ideal.

Isak to Barcelona next summer makes 100% perfect sense in every way. We lose Lewa's contract with huge salary. This allows Barca to drop 120m plus on Isak to replace a player 1 for 1. Guaranteed starter and back in La Liga which he already knows.

I could see RM offload Vini and Rodrygo to get a Galactico front line with Mbappe back at LW and Isak at the 9 spot.

Chelsea could just because they apparently can buy every player. They are already a strong team and with him maybe even a top 5 club.

PSG could use a real 9 with Dembele and Kvara playing off him.

Bayern will need a 9 before long.

Isak has so many better options than Liverpool unless they 100% just don't give a shit about Ektike.

We are basically screwed summer 2026!!.

Naaaaaah, right?

Next Summer Wahi will score 16 goals in Bundesliga like Etikike Sola did this season and everyone in Europe will fight to sign him for 60m+.

Talking seriously though, someone will emerge. I'd personally, and call me square, have a punt on the new Samuel Eto'o, Endrick.

That or keep Lewandowski until 40 and sign that Norwegian 16 year old chap we have been after.

They all will surely not fail, but I'm not expecting big things from Gyok, Sesko or Etikike In the Prem.

I don't think we will regret not getting them. It will just be about not blowing 100m on someone like Julian Alvarez.

Watch Evan Ferguson have a great season at Roma for example and everyone ask why we didn't loan him when he was loaned got free for example, and that he will now cost 60m to sign.

Alvarez will be the only one left, assuming Atleti continues to lose and he wants to join a winner.

But with the way Liverpool are spending money and what Atleti paid for him, they will want 100m plus.

We just have to be creative.

I still believe raphinha is a good option at 9.

While I think there wont be a lot of players for Isak next season. It can also be the opposite.

Chelsea really can go for him.
PSG yes, but I also doubt they would want to change their approach so drastically mere season later. But they have the money to do so.

Bayern, I really don't know. Will they spend another big amount next year too, knowing they still have a Kane for a year more? The same situation as us currently but they are run much better and take sensible decisions.

As for RM, I think they are waiting to resolve the Vini situation. I don't see them shipping/selling both Vini & Rodrygo in a span of two years. I really don't. And if that's the case, Isak is not going there. Next year, it's either Vini or Rodrygo who stays.

Yeah, as much as I like Alvarez. I think I want bigger ST. We need heading ability and some presence in the box. Barca becomes too easy to defend Vs if we only have short and weak players. (For crosses). We missed Lewy Vs Inter and it makes us less predictable which is great.

We need a different profile to Alvarez. He is more of a second striker type of guy.

Perhaps Liverpool will go for Isak since they lost Jota unexpectedly. So it will make no difference financially in the medium term if they chose to advance one of Etikike or Isak because of this.

As for positions. Both can play LW. So it's not as if one will sit on the bench for the other. Infact Hansi has shown how you play a LW by basically having it as a false Support striker.

So yeah, makes sense. And also makes Diaz an option to sell for big money, on their terms.
