They did it with Sancho to Chelsea.
Disagree, price is steep but better than throwing away the season. Still haven't heard one viable alternative (and I am not a big fan of Rashford either).

Not sure if it's poor. But it certainly is nowhere near what it once was.
McTominay is a plodder, the slower pace of the Italian league was always going to suit him much better than the PL. Though he does deserve some credit. He's been better than I ever expected he could be.

Probably because your scouting knowledge is on par with Deco's and mine. But I'm sure some other player will explode and we will find other excuses.

Every team must have shit scouts then because Arsenal signed Madueke for 60m, Bayern want to spend 70m on Luis Diaz and Liverpool might end up spending 100m on Rodrygo lol.

Think there are some keys to this affair.
He has to follow Raph cookbook of success. Speed, workrate, and finishing, direct end product with minimum of touches. Do the runs, often, and reap the rewards.
It all starts with the embracing of your role. Understand from the start that you do not have the short spaces technique of a Pedri, Yamal, or even Olmo. But Pedri also doesn't have your speed. Or your power. That's key. Listen to the manager at all times. You are here to deliver a role that will make you the right man for a specific part of the plan. But you have to leave your ego at the door.

Yeah.
He need to keep it simple and work his ass off.
If he does then he will have the privilege of enjoying a good time in which is a once in a lifetime type of opportunity.
Either that or he ends up like Dele Alli.

I expect a player that will provide somewhat similar output with Raphinha, and similar skills, at least offensively. Athletic threat, runner, good shooter, physical. I think he can do that if he has the right mindset, and be a good back up to Raphinha. He ain't gonna do those things as well as Raph, especially on the defensive and pressing end, but far far better than Fati did last season.
This is 100% the only role Flick has for him, and if he ain't gonna deliver this... he'll go back to United next summer.

Yeah, Aubameyang said his half a year at Barcelona was the time he enjoyed football the most. And that was one of our most difficult periods.
It is the full package when the team is working as it should.
