Signed Mbeumo apparently - deal more or less done with medical to come. Paid more than they thought they'd have to and they're loading more on their massive debt via amortising over I believe it is four payments.

On the football side, It could work out well for them - as said I do rate he and Cunha. Good ages too. However, statistically speaking last season was by far their best seasons, so it remains to be seen if they can replicate that. They are good players but we have seen better players struggle at United before. Hence, I am not gonna assume they will be a guaranteed success for the pricks.

Eh, slightly above average PL footballers... but it's not like they can get better talent right now, so well played I suppose.
Yeah they are good, solid PL players, but obviously not superstars. Still a big upgrade on the likes of Hojlund, Zirkzee, Garnacho though, who I really think are poor. Also, I guess they'll convert Amad to wing-back now. I actually think he is better as one of the two attacking midfielders.

I think you dislike United as much as I do so let's hope the pair of them flop.

These are good signings for a team with solid infrastructure.

There is just something a bit rotten with United like we spoke of before.

Mbeumo is a brilliant signing imo even at that price when you see players like Madueke going for £52mil as a backup.

Cunha is the one I don't really get when they already have Amad who looks a real talent. They are strapped for cash and still need a #9. Add 10mil or so to the £62mil paid for Cunha and they could've probably got Dumfries low clause (an actual RWB) and Watkins. Amad also wouldn't end up wasted at RWB.

Also, not selling Bruno is going to end up a huge mistake, I think you mentioned it in another thread but that 2 man Amorim midfield is going to get steamrolled.

Amad does look a talent, though a lot to prove still, good player though. I actually think Cunha would play left and Amad right in the two, so it's more Mbeumo that is in his way (alluded to that above). So Amad might be repurposed as a RWB (and looks like we agree he would be wasted there). Of course in practice over a season players get injured, need rest etc, so the more options for positions the better.

I am not a big fan of Denzel, but yeah better than they have now. Watkins is 30 this year so maybe they don't see him as the right age profile.

Yeah agree fully on the midfield thing. Fernandes is very good at creating chances when further forward (even though he gives the ball away far too much) but in a midfield 2 he's a big liability and it's again evidence of INEOS being clueless that they rate him there. It wouldn't even work with Kante next to him, but their other options are past it Casemiro, Mainoo who can't play in a mf two, and Ugarte who is technically awful and can't pass water. They're gonna get played off the park a lot next season. It's just if Mbeumo and Cunha can bring goals to their side on the counter.

Leeds had some nice highlights in midfield play while United was dead there:

Everyone at United who didn't want to sack Hamorim after EL final should also be fired.

Lol, it's Leeds channel, they are mostly showing their team in possession. United had some good moves in the final third too.

Also, lol at anyone believing Amorim is the problem.

He even had a heart attack as there was a lad on the right for Flamengo who played like prime Anthony.

ManYoo fans are an odd lot, touting early challenges of a coach that no longer represents them is the epitome of bitterness. Let it go or seek therapy
