Del Piero and the Boss have an uncanny resemblance!

"The Boss" refers to Springsteen's nickname.

If you google "Del Piero and Springsteen," you'll get several images comparing the resemblance between the two. If you can't see it, well, too bad.

I see he is in India now, and perhaps more worrying one of the Indian franchises have recruited the bankrupt david james as head coach.

Haven't read the thread hence might have been discussed already, but was he better than Totti? I always preferred Totti, but young Del Piero before all the injuries was exceptional.

I would say Del Piero. 1996-98 Del Piero was a beast, comparable to R9 at the same period (Il Fenemeno Vero, that was his nickname).

Totti was brilliant too but he was also quite dirty player to me( Euro 2004 for example). Del Piero had more class.

Yeah for me the young del piero of that time was better than tptti ever was. But later on totti was better, as shown by him generally being selected for Italy over Alessandro.

True. Totti is something of an imbecile lol.

Neither was great for Italy imo.

Del Piero was hoped to be the main man but he was way too underwhelmed in both 1998 WC and especially Euro 2000.

Totti was better but then only Euro 2000 was his tournament (and that was before him was selected as the main man). As Italy number 10, he was also quite average (World Cup 02, Euro 04). World cup 06 was ok but at that time Pirlo was the main man of Italy's play, with Cannavaro and Buffon at the back.

Yeah I agree..I meant totti was great at roma that got him the nod for Italy.

But aye as you say they both underwhelmed for the nt.The likes of piro, cannavaro and grosso were better than totti when they won the WC in 2006.

Coincidentally both played their best for Italy when they wore number 20. Euro 2000 for Totti and with Del Piero it was 1997 Tournoi de France

His famous performance vs Brazil in 1997 (which started R9 comparison if i remember correctly).
