Mate, I'm more impressed that my auto-correct knows my content so well that it changed Sabitzer to Sanitizer.
I noticed that too. Thought it was a typo as I read it as Sanitzer (though you don't really do those) and was too polite to be a grammar Nazi and point it out, lol.

There was a time when Bayern were loaded with South American forwards though. Pizarro, Roque Santa Cruz and maybe one other.

If I look through their transfers, wouldn't be surprised if they got them for free from other Bundesliga clubs though.

True and I had them in mind, but tbh that sort of backs my point as well. They were good strikers, but they were never the cream of the South American crop. They had to make do for the lesser (but still good) forwards. Barca and Real and the PL took your Rivaldos, Ronaldos, Agueros, Di Marias, Suarezs etc around that period of about 1998-2012

I found one almost as good though.

Bayer Leverkusen reach the CL final.

Proceed to sell Michael Ballack and Ze Roberto to Bayern that Summer for a combined fee of 15m.
Aye forgot Ballack and Ze Roberto. In summer of 2002 Ballack was the big thing in football, like Wirtz is now. Though he was obviously a bit older than Wirtz is now even by then.

By the time Ballack was at Chelsea he was outshined by guys like Essien and Lampard.
