With the speed the Joan Garcia announcement is taking we'll be paying his buyout clause on August 20th, announce is on the 29th and then be scrambling to register him one minute before the deadline.

We already paid his clause though, the only thing missing is the official announcement.

Right profile for that left side is not a winger as Balde is acting as one. It's forward.
Don't think Nico has the tools to be that secondary forward in Flick's system. Raphinha is excelling there and is playing the role Henry and Villa did here.

Sure Flick knows best though and we'll see how this pans out.
Balde isn’t good enough offensively to do the job of an LW full time imo, and I think it would be incredibly beneficial for us to have a much more dangerous player to play on that side, even if I love Balde.

Balde will still have plenty of oportunities to contribute offensively with overlaps and such aswell and give us more variation.

Having Balde a be a bit more defensive might help our ability to defend counter attacks aswell. He’s probably our fastest player and his recovery pace could help our LCB a lot.

(NICO): Bayern Munich is aware that Nico Williams prefers to join Barça—people at the German club have already received that message. There will be no issues between Nico and Barcelona regarding the contract; everything has been agreed for some time. Now, it’s up to Laporta to make the deal financially viable. Athletic Club demands the full release clause of €58 million plus taxes. #FCB Via:

My personal opinion is that he always had higher ambitions, and after the disastrous semi-final vs United he said fuck it time to go.

Granted, it's not an easy decision. Bilbao is consistently competing for CL/EL Spots, and the City is fantastic by all accounts and he's being paid pretty handsomely at this very moment.

But I think with the success he's had with Spain in the past year and being good friends with Yamal and the Barca guys he realized he has a chance to aim even higher and I don't blame him.

Javier Tebas: "I hear a lot of Nico Williams, this one, that one... I don't know. First, what is written must be true, because I no longer know if what is written is true or not. All I know for sure is, Barcelona is not within the 1:1 rule."

All over X are news about Deco leaving the airport for Bilbao. What would he even do there if the news are true? Bilbao won't negotiate, so what is he supposed to do in Bilbao?

It forms as a great transfer window for Barca and Flick will have all options available for the summer training camp. I hope Nico doesn't drag this all summer long for drama's sake.
