Both players deserve the praise. Alcaraz had more in the tank, Sinner looked depleted even at the start of the final set, but somehow took the game to a finale.

Yet he very nearly did, bottled a triple championship point in the 4th…reminiscent of when McEnroe collapsed against Lendl

I thought Alcaraz had nothing left when he was broken to make it 5-5…sooo many unforced errors, seemed to increase in frequency as the match went on but wow what a remontada

Great tennis, great sportsmanship from both and great drama - a worthy final

i bet on alcaraz when was 2-0 down.

But the 4th set was crazy where he came back from having 3 match points.
