For PL I would say

KDB
Scholes
Lampard/Gerrard equal.

Never been much of a fan of Gerrard, for many (footballing) reasons. Obviously a very good player but his reputation in England is bigger than his ability, imo. Scholes is definitely better than him imo.

Other midfielders who deserve a mention and were great are Keane and Vieira. I think Keane is underrated - underrated technical ability, amazing leadership qualities and excellent defensively. He seems forgotten often now. Vieira was outstanding too.

KDB
Gerrard
Scholes

David Silva
Lampard
Kante
Yaya Toure
Fabregas

He's 40 at the start of next season, absolutely love him as a player but surely he knows the gig is 99.9 percent up.
He won't be starter. He showed he can contribute a little from the bench this season at Madrid, in La Liga. So surely he can do it in Milan in Serie A too

But I don't think he will do it because makes no sense. At this point of the career either go to Saudi and get the bag or go back to Dinamo. I believe he chooses Dinamo

Think they want him more for his experience and leadership in locker room than having a key role on the pitch.
True, good point. But still feel maybe it's the wrong approach from them.

I am surprised Milan want him. Even with a leadership and experience role, it's another player slot and wage to fill (though there's ample room in matchdays squads in Serie A for him, and he won't get paid much in a contract).

I think it'd be fitting if he went back to Dinamo and finished there.

But I acknowledge that I am on record as saying I feel a footballer should retire before he turns 40 - unless a goalkeeper. So maybe it's just my bias against old players lol. He probably can still contribute a little in the league there.

You're welcome
And people attacked me for making fun of Serie A-simpers here years ago.

Becoming more and more of a retirement league.

It's not retirement league it's just that clubs are poor and finished so they buy vets who might have a season or two left in them

Retirement league is MLS. No WC player of reasonable age will come there unless he gets a shitload of money, of course. That's not the case with Serie A

aye. The one that broke a record for most goals against in final.

Never saw a more lopsided pairing of teams.
Look, Inter is not all that. We should have knocked them out maybe Bayern too

But 5-0 goes deeper than just them being shit. PSG finished the league in, like, March? Or April, whatever. Finished Arsenal and had a whole month to prepare for the final

With better, with younger squad. While Inter was fighting to the last day in serie a and eventually bottled it which morally fucked them before the final

After Doue scored the 2nd goal, everybody knew the game was done and dusted. Inter had only their dignity to save, which they obviously failed to do - as they were dead tired and their 30+ legs had no life to keep up with blistering pace of Doue, Dembele, Barcola, Vitinha etc

They were shit and ofc it is embarrassing but they do have a lot of excuses to be fair to them. I spoke before the final how PSG has enormous advantage and they are heavy favourites
