I hope we don’t find a sufficient LW and switch target to him. Hes there for the taking and I don’t see a clear target for CF next year.

Next year the only viable target would be Alexander Isak, probably for 100m+, or hoping some wonderkid pops off I guess.

I think there are lots of red flags regarding him, otherwise he would've moved by now. Most goals scored in Europe with many teams in need of a CF, but there are hardly any stories surrounding him ..other than those about red flags.

Think the red flags are because no one wants to go Full Mitrovic again.

-That guy scored for fun at Championship level.
-Moves to EPL, scores a few goals.
-Goes back to Championship, scores for fun.
-Clubs think, maybe he is ready for the PL again. Returns, hardly scores.
-Goes back to Championship, scores most goals ever.
-Teams think, this is it boys, he's finally going to turn it over to the Premier League. Flops.
-Back to Championship. Scores some goals.
-EPL clubs finally say fuck that again.
-Goes to Saudi.

So yeah, two things are certain in life. Never trust Mitrovic players, and never date a Kardashian.

Not to mention Sporting's asking price on top of what is a risky purchase.

Chelsea have been spending for fun lately yet they opted for Delap instead. I think there's a good chance he'll end up at Utd with Amorim.

But do we need a 20 goals striker if we have a 40 goals striker? I don’t say lewa is the best option but it is sure gyökeres is not

The idea is that Lewa won't last much longer (which has been said immediately after he was signed, and he is still going) and we need someone to replace him.

One thing I like about Gyökeres is that he is a physical beast. Very strong and fairly fast, while he is 1.89m. He is even better than prime Lewa in that regard. I think Only Halaand is superior to him. That doesn't mean much without football ability though.

Work out a deal with them for the dude we have a sell on clause with to bring his price down to something reasonable, then we can stake the risk.

Now one wants to pay fully 70m+ for a Portuguese league striker.

50m he's an opportunity none who wants a striker can afford to ignore

Only way I see Barca signing him is on a future deal for 2026. But for that to happen Sporting would need to drop asking price to around 50m in favor of having him for a further year. But they will surely want to get the most they can and are already prepared for his departure anyway with Harder who played well in limited playing time and is ready for more minutes.

We clearly won't sign him this summer with tractor going nowhere.

Doesn't mean anything if you can't use it well. Prime Lewy had way better hold up and aerial ability than Gyokeres can ever dream of. Gyokeres is crap in the air. Even worse than Haaland.

It's like Zlatan and Cavani. Zlatan is taller but average/poor in the air while Cavani is one of the best headers around.
