Also, looking at this guy right now - Elias Baez, LB (20) from San Lorenzo.

Elías Báez stands out with his interception skills, averaging 5.67 interceptions per match, ranking him first among his peers. He leads over Tomás Silva, who averages 4 interceptions per match. In pass interceptions, Báez maintains his top rank with 4.33 per match, again ahead of Silva with 2.5. These figures indicate Báez’s excellent anticipation and ability to read the game, making him a valuable asset for disrupting opponent plays. Tactically, his prowess in intercepting passes can be leveraged in high-pressure defensive schemes where cutting off passing lanes is crucial.

Elías Báez demonstrates significant strengths in interceptions and ball recovery, making him an effective defensive asset. His ability to disrupt opponent plays is evident, ranking first in interceptions and pass interceptions. However, areas such as ball retention and recovery in the opponent’s half present opportunities for development. Enhancing these aspects will augment his overall defensive contribution and adaptability to various tactical setups.

Plz FFS sign a LB, RB and CB.

Can't go on like this. This Inter team are a joke and we should have never been eliminated by them ffs

Yes, LB should be under consideration unless they 100% believe Jofre Torrents is ready.

Because if Balde goes down and Gerard Martin has to play we’re fucked.

Its kind of wild that the main issue with us not making it through the CL was our defense, and they apparently dont want to reinforce or change it at all. Araujo with huge mistakes every year, back up FB options are a joke. Watching Martin fuck up every pass, look terrified every time got the ball, and get smoked in every duel was absolutely painful. I dont care if he had impact with our goals, he is and was an absolute liability on defense and what he did offensively in the final was an outlier.

Deco just ruled out Gyokeres and a striker too. The only positions we are looking at is LW and goalie. If that's really it, they better get it right.

And before the same people come in and blame the coach for the defenders fucking up. No, just stop. No system will work if the defenders make massive, simple mistakes. Araujo fucked up under Xavi too, who literally sat on a lead and defended 3/4 of his last season.

An ideal transfer window would be GK, LW, ST, FB and CB.
If you hit on most of these it puts the team/squad over the top.

But La Liga FFP issues and having to fight for our lives to register players is going to make signing even 1-2 players difficult.

I take GK and LW.

One of the two massive holes plugged (the other being Lewy). And for some reason top clubs don't rate Gyokeres, so there's hardly a better striker alternative to Ferran (or maybe Olmo as well).

GK and LF should be the priorities, obviously which is why the club is also looking at this two positions.

They have identified the correct profile in Rashford as a LF, so he can potentially replace lewa.

Just not sure he's the right player.

CB is the last place we should be spending money this summer.

Next summer when Martinez leaves, and then hopefully we can get someone in cheap.

From that prospective Tah would have been good, that's the only prospective where is signing was a plus.

It's not just quantity, but quality. So... 200m.

True, although not every signing need to be 50m+.

Could probably take out CB too since we're overbooked there. A LB or versatile FB need to be signed unless they believe Jofre Torrents who will join pre-season can be counted on for next season because starting Gerard Martin would be malpractice.

They should definitely sign a GK, LW and IMO a striker. Counting on Lewandowski next season and Ferran who despite a good season is still unproven is really rolling the dice.

CB imo is an absolute must. CB and GK is what I'd start with. We're overbooked in CB with bodies, not quality. We have a crooked player in Christensen who can miss an entire season at any time, a bum in Araujo, a budget old player in Inigo who never played at his level in his life, and an unexperienced teenager in Cubarsi who is years away from anything close to a CL winning material.

If we are serious about CL, a CB is a must. We are far better in 9 with Ferran Torres who actually has good numbers for his minutes. Defense is a mess though. Even comical at times. A fecking 37 year old Acerbi strolled through our box like prime CR7 and knocked us out . That's how bad it is.

We need more quality at CB for sure, but it won't happen unless Araujo or/and Christensen are sold and so far both seem uninterested at it.

Which CB would we even sign though? Cannot see the top talents/players leaving their clubs or us paying the very high asking price.

I don't know what CB. I haven't even heard of Pacho before PSG got him. That's Deco's job and if he doesn't know names or isn't connected and doesn't have any ideas, then he's not the right man to improve the squad.

Might be bullshit rumors, but we shouldn't even be contemplating ideas about Luis Diaz with the shite we have in our defense. We scored 5 fucking goals more than PSG with one game less. The problems are in defense.

Both are equally big problems unless you want to run Lamine and Raphinha down until they both drop dead.

The other wingers we have we can barely trust vs. La Liga relegation fodder.

Luckily Diaz probably ends up in Saudi.
