Doubt it. Neves is like this due to being a bigger talent than Gavi. Gavi can improve though.
Gavi's a brilliant talent.
This season has been a write off due to his ACL. Next season I hope we bin Fermin/Olmo and start Gavi instead (not as a 10!). Enrique would do it.

Not a bigger talent, but had better managers to guide him.
Give a fit Gavi another chance under Flick. You also wrote of Pedri before this season. With the right manager and system, Gavi can also unlock his potential.

He's not a Gavi type player, so those comparison is highlighting a lack of understanding of his game & gavi's game.
Just a shot at gavi by those who don't understand football fully yet, despite all these years of watching it.
He's more of a DM that gavi, not his position but his strengtha lay there.
which is why despite all the positional rotations Enrique does, he's the one that takes up advanced positions the least.
It you're comparing him to anyone in our team it would be frenkie actually.

Ruiz all over the pitch, true box to box, basically what gavi did, when he plays 433
Neves, setting more in a deeper position, never really getting forward in the same way Ruiz and vitinha does, just stays in CM 80% of the times.
