Marcus Rashford

The main problem about Rashford on loan is that it doesn't address the depth option long term.

It is the same like when we got Felix and Cancelo. Sure, for free and low wage they were solid options, then what? This year we didn't have anyone, then this summer we will ho for loan option again, them next summer we will face the same issue.

I didnt follow him at Aston villa but vs PSG in 2nd he was outstanding, potential and talent is there and think also with Hansi he can be even better. And as randomuser said he can play all 3 positions, so very helpful to rest our front 3.

Straight loan with no buy option would be fine but doubt ManU will agree to it.
buy option or not literally makes no difference. If it's an option, you just don't exercise it, if you don't want. No point in even discussing about it, much less blowing the deal over it. They can put a 100M option to buy if they want, we just won't buy him, simple.

He is here to ease the burden off Lewa and bridge the gap until next summer, when we can hopefully go all out for a top striker WITH Lewa also leaving, making the space on the wage bill as well.

Doing this deal this summer allows us to really shore up our GK and defense this summer, fix what needs to be fixed, to really gain options as great as we have in midfield, also in defense and in goal. And if a loan here can help us save money for a good LB backup and Garcia (and possibly a new CB), then I'm all for it. As for the profile, Rashford is literally perfect, since he can play both LW and ST, thus cover for both Raphinha and/or Lewa. Rashford and Ferran (who can also play RW) as backups, not bad.

Then next summer we hopefully have our GK, defense and midfield sorted, so we can focus all of our attention (and money) to buying the next great Barca striker.
And possibly even a good LW, if we'll have more money to play with after having the Camp Nou revenues for a year.

He is miles better option then Fati and Pau Victor.

And that is his place in the squad.

He can be difference against lower tier clubs.

We saw that Ansu and Victor can't do shit against relegated teams.

We will cover part of hus salery and we are good. It will be a lot of cheaper then keeping Fati + Victor who can't do shit.

I think getting him on loan would be a good option too. Doesn't look like we can spend big on forward players yet, so just hope Ferran and rashford can provide enough depth in front 3 and then go big next year.

I just don't see United doing a loan.

Why not? They did it for Aston Villa, and they even play in the same league. They'll be more than happy to ship him off to Spain, even if it's only for a year, especially if they think we might buy him in the end (we shouldn't unless he absolutely lights it up). I'd imagine they'd even be willing to agree to maybe lower the option to buy from 40 to 35 or even 30M pounds.

They're in the hole financially just as much as us, if not even more. After already firing 250 people and freaking banning the free meals they've now lost the EL final, won't play anywhere in Europe next summer, there's even talk about them needing to fire another 200 people.

They need to sell to buy. They'll be selling Garnacho just as happily as he'll leave, cause they need the money. All the forward flops (for them) Rashford, Sancho, Antony will be up for sale, even newer purchases like Hojlund, and actual key players like even Bruno will be available for the right price. Especially now that they've bought Cunha for that position. But they could only bought Cunha, cause Wolves were really lenient with getting the money through 3 year (or even more) installments.

This.

They are desperate to get rid off him.

Him and coach are hating each other.

Doing it once to a lesser team is one thing... loaning him to us? Nah.

Think about it like this. If we don't go for a winger this year. And Rashford works well, we can buy him for cheap next year. We are going into this deal hoping he will, and most likely he will. If they re looking around 30-40m now, he probably can be had for cheaper or the same next year. Wouldnt you be fine paying 30 if he played well?

Now, we can save this LW money 50m odd, and use it next year to go for Isak. Who can also play LW. So Raph/Isak/Yamal/Ferran and the LaMasia kid as a RW backup, should be enough for 3 spots and a CL contender front line.

: "The Rashford deal won't happen today, tomorrow, or this week. Forget about that."

Rashford and Barca will have to play the long game as United need the £40mil.
