Yes, because they didn't want to sell mid-season. He only has two years left on contract and they have younger upcoming players so will most likely sell now. And I think Brighton will prefer to sell outside of PL. Think he should be available for around 60m, would def prefer Mitoma for that money over Diaz. Would be a great marketing move too.

Makes little sense not to sell Mitoma for 90m at any point of the season.

Certainly for a nothing club like Brighton in the grand scheme of things. Going in winter does not make or break their season. Their scouting is made for moves like that.
