In EPL he is more of a hit and miss, in Spain he was mostly shit.

Personally, I think it's a clever move. He is not done yet at top level, but can't play many games and be a certified starter
If his salary was low, I would go for him at Barca. His skillset fits Hansi's football. Better than Olmo in the 10 position

If this guy played for us or Madrid he’d be universally acclaimed as one of the GOAT midfielders on par with Xavi, Iniesta and the likes. It’s a pity he spent all of those prime years at that plastic club.

He's already pretty well respected and highly rated universally. He was the best player in the best league in the world for many years. The PL was amazing when he was in his peak. He'll be remembered as the best player of the amazing Pep-Klopp era in the PL.
He's a different kind of midfielder. He's not a Barca style midfielder at all.
He has more match winning ability than Xavi, Iniesta, Modric, Kroos but can't control the game/tempo like they do. Plays further forward.
Absolute genius and can do stuff other players can only dream of.
