I can understand why it was emotional for him.

Coming out of retirement to win a league title for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

That has to be a great feeling, I would like if he stays just for competition, but wouldn't he surprised if he leaves.

Him concede penalties always leads to us winning, so he should stay just for that.

Winning the cup and LaLiga with a crap Gk like him is kinda a miracle..he is really bad.

I think that's harsh. He is obviously a bit slow for Barcas high line and sweeper role but otherwise he's been solid. He gave us three trophies. A great mentality and a great season. I will always remember him for saving our season.

Personally I hope he continues as a backup even next season.

Valdes was twice the keeper than these 3 combined. Buy yeah, historically GK is by far the worst position in Barca's history.

While definitely not ideal, Ter Stegen is for me without a doubt a better goalie than Tek. In the last few games, except giving away penalties Tek did nothing. Just look at Donnarumma and Sommer this season. They literally saved their teams and were the most important factors in reaching CL finals. If Ter Stegen had performed like Tek against Inter and Real knives and forks would have been pulled out immediately.

Regarding Valdes, I am much older of many forum members. I watched Valdes through his entire career and he was also making stupid mistakes. Saying that he was a perfect GK is a huge lie. Barca back than controlled the games in a much different way so he had a much easier task than Tek or Mats are having right now. With the tactics of Flick no way in hell Valdes would make a significant difference. I am 100% sure of that.

With that being said maybe it's finally time for us to find a world class GK in summer of 2026.
