Needs to close out the League now and it’s been a brilliant season (and nearly a legendary one).

Can still turn into a nightmare mind you.

If we beat Madrid, it's job almost done.

If we lose to Madrid, it will be incredibly difficult due to mental momentum swing.

And don't you dare play MATS in the league again in case if we don't win.

he needs to sit down with Laporta and fill the bench with 3-4 players that he would actually use.
Yes, that is crucial. In today's meatgrinder football, you need at least 15-16 starting material players and 3-5 near that level to be able to rotate enough to keep fresh legs and injuries away in April/May but still win games.

The likes of Ansu Fati, Pau Victor, Torre, Fort are just blocking the bench and salary limit. Araujo is theoretically good enough, but always a liability in games like yesterday, so I would include him as well.
Martin is a difficult topic. He played his heart out, but he isn't barca material either. But the club doesn't have that kind of money for 4-5 new players and he's the first player of this group that I would keep if neccessary.

Yup. And that's why I think if we sign Nico, Tah and a fullback, while shipping out Araujo we are instantly a better team with more depth.

I think the number of CB's is fine currently. If we ship out Araujo, we need a direct better replacement, which Tah should be.

Midfield is fine. We have Casado and Bernal coming back, while Frenkie and Pedri cemented themselves as starters.

Now, we absolutely need depth at fullbacks and on the wings. At least 1 fullback and 1 winger are an absolute must. 2 for each area would be ideal.

Honestly, it's going to be hard. Flick needs better players, alot of them but we don't have the money.
We're going to have to do some expert scouting and see if we can get some bargains or younger players on the cheap. We need a proper, physical DM for the CL and a great keeper and CB TOO. That defensive spine is absolutely crucial in Europe. That's three players there. Not to mention at least one full back and a proper striker.

CB, we can get Tah for free. I don't know if we need a DM, since 4231 is working fine. Also, we need to see what Bernal can do as one of the pivots. We know that Casado brings a more physical element to that position, which is fine, so we have different profiles. Also, Garcia can fill that physical CM position, when he is not starting in other positions.

Now, a striker is a must in next 2 summer windows, as is at least 1 fullback this summer and 1 winger also this summer.

Goalkeeper should also be bought ASAP to bin MATS.

Real Madrid are struggling heavily themselves with all their injuries. There is no way this team should lose to them.

If we have seen anything in these Semi finals, and Copa final, a slightly right leaning referee makes an easier victory that much more difficult.

Still, we managed to score 3 goals in all these games.

Just have to make sure we don't concede 4

Agreed. We need players, but not that many.

Eric gave good vibrations for RB for example so maybe we don't need anyone there.

Martin is a huge problem defensively, but then there is Jofre who with pre season will be very close.

We need more quality options upfront. But in general LaMasia will come through yet again.

I will repeat it. You dont win CL against skilled teams who know how to use the space Flick offers the opponent. Guardiola struggled 8 years in a row with City and Bayern in CL. Always was caught on the counter attack when lost possession in dangerous spaces in midfield. Thats what happens when your opponent has quality. We won two titles yes, Flick brought back some joy and enthusiasm, but against trash Real Madrid plagued by injuries. This wont Work against clever and skilled opponents. If Flick continues like this, we never will get past, Bayern, Liverpool, PSG...in crucial CL ties. You cant go and concede 2-3 Goals per Match hoping for scoring 4...Thats insanity!

I think squad planning while watching La Masia closely is the key for us. If we implement this successfuly, despite our financial struggles, we can build a juggernaut of a team in 2 years. We have a young squad, we have the tools.

When you face an opponent that have massive advantage physically and in aerial challenges, you have to press high and avoid them spamming crosses at the end, this is what gives you space.

We could have played more conservative at the end, then Acerbi scores a header instead of a tap in, and we will be asking why did Flick allowed them to do what they wanted.

We talked a lot about our fullbacks issues, but here is the harsg truth:

NONE OF OUR CENTERBACKS STEPPED UP IN CL, NONE.

Lots of deserved blame for Araujo, but Cubarsi had bad games against both Benfica and Inter, Inigo was arguably our worst player in both ties,

Inter exposed that in every way. We could argue we could have passed the ball more, but the team is young and we have only one controller in midfield.
