If we manage to finish with the Cdr, LL and Supercopa, i still think we could consider this to be a very successful season.

The CL exit hurts but i think Flick has done a sensational job since no one gave us a chance for silverware at the start of the season.

He has done a great job. Which is why it's funny to see how easily he is willing to throw his work away over some final 3 minutes managed very poorly.

Fascinating manager no doubt.

He'd defend deep vs Benfica in CL earlier stage and suffer for a 1-0 win. But at 3-2 ahead in CL semis vs Inter, he gets caught 4 vs 4 at the back while he pushes to score more goals.

I have serious doubts about it tbh.

The defense has just come apart, and we're leaking 2-3-4 goals a game to ANY semi decent opposition.

Yea we are showing some worrying signs in defense at the most inopportune time.

If we look 3 of our goals today, yea we had individual errors.

But the defensive setup it self, meant if the players didn't execute perfectly, the opposition would have a direct shot at goal.

They had oceans of space to run into.

Progression in the league is more linear.

There is no such thing as progression in the CL, at least not a clearly linear one. We blew a big chance because of injuries, but more importantly, stubbornness.

You manage to score 3 goals in a half on Inter at San Siro to go up 6-5? RM, even with dog shit defenders see that win out in their sleep.

This has been Barca and Bayern's Achilles Heel in Europe. Two clubs that underachieve massively in cup competitions for how dominant they are in the league and in general. Playing attacking football all the time and having no plan B is what loses you cups.

I'm still proud of some of the huge positives from this CL campaign but there is no denying it was a missed opportunity.

Still numb and heartbroken from this.
Yes, it was an opportunity missed but I think Flick has performed miracles with a very thin squad.
Progress in CL is different for every club. Some pop out of the blue and suddenly win it. Others creep up on it and seal the deal.
Even with our best 11 we knew there were deficiencies.
Striker, full backs and possibly goalkeeper.

We NEED more physical players. In Europe physicality, mentality and intensity are paramount. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. Defence has to be reinforced and we need a physical DM and box to box player.
All this costs money. Which we don't have.
And FUCK that ref and those Inter fans. Why are those Inter pitches crying UEFAalona when their shit club gets so many decisions.
I hope Arsenal or PSG kill their in the final.

Good to see a few more are seeing what I saw from the first goal and was saying for the 3-3 goal.

Hopefully we learn from this.

But I doubt it .

I'm not being prisoner of the moment I hope, but I have a very bad feeling about the league.

RM are just chomping at the bits, no doubt.

It's really heartbreaking for Barca fans.

Flick is so dogmatic about his philosophy that he won't even compromise for 5 minutes.

You have a 1 goal lead in the CL semi with 5 minutes to go. Fuck your philosophy, shove it up your ass and put 10 men behind the ball and waste time.

Even Guardiola does this.

Inzaghi is definitely a better tactician. Got a lot of hate when I said this but this is just basic management.

And I am saying this as the guy who told this forum that they should get Flick before anybody else did.

I feel a bit better now that people are coming to their scenes, I thought I was going crazy for a second, thinking am I the only one that sees this shit? Lol.

Every review of the match I've seen saying the same thing, why attack with 5 minutes left and a 1 goal advantage.

The Literal one thing you don't need is a goal.

I'm happy for everything he's done since being here, I hope we win the league, he's done great.

But come the fuck on man, WHY.

Most Definitely, No way I thought we where going to fight on all fronts with this squad, B-team players and youth players. They have done superbly. But getting LL is going to be tough. Real have the far easier schedule left and depending if our fullbacks are back they might have the edge in Classico.
It we loose Classico, we have 90% chance to loose LL. No doubt!

This was the season I'm afraid. Arsenal, PSG, Inter have 1 CL between them. CL big guns / tier 1 teams Bayern, Madrid, City, Liverpool won't be this shit for long all at the same time, Barca's finances leave not much room to improve the squad, Lewa isn't getting any better and whether Raphina is a one season hit or not remains to be seen.

Pessimistic cules thread is where I belong I guess.

I can see this spilling over and us losing the league.

Absolutely crushing defeat.

I can't really blame Flick all that much. It's bad enough that he didn't have the Balde, Kounde and Lewa (fit) for this match. He just doesn't plain even have a squad lol. Just a bunch of nobody kids on the bench.

The only thing I can blame him for is the fact that he can't see that Araujo is the world's first down syndrome footballer and yet he plays him.

If we don't at least draw v RM in the league, it's over in LL.

This team in current state isn't holding out 3 tough games to close it out.

Need to beat RM to seal the league actually.

Real Madrid are struggling heavily themselves with all their injuries. There is no way this team should lose to them.
