I sh*t on FDJ a lot, and correctly so. However, yesterday he had a pretty good match. He was constantly going box to box and providing support for that horribly shaped back 4 of ours. He made the match a lot easier for Pedri and our defense, so kudos to him.

But I agree Cubarsi is better than him.

Yea olmo failed the last two games, he has to get it together in the next two.

De jong wasn't great but he was better than olmo for sure.

I rate him 3rd worse player against inter after that thing we wall GK and Olmo.

But this was unusual for his form lately hope he ups his game fast

He's a great ball retainer and coupled with Pedri, when both on good form, they're perfect for controlling games. All the "progressive passing" bullshit peddled by his deepthroater is firm bs though. His forward passes are 5-10 meters long and always right into feet of standing players. He doesn't do anything to actually progress the play. The only forward thinking passing he does is diagonal lobs that he is quite good at and has had few assists over time with those. Other than that not much else. Still valuable player for controlling, suspectable at defense.

Great game.

Renewing him will improve our FFP, and we will keep him. He has been really good last few months.

Hope so his salery will be reduced and it will help us even more.
