I think we are finally seeing Frenkie, the player who was signed from Ajax 6 years ago. Brings control and calmness in midfield that was missing, the pivot. Under Flick it seems so effortless.

There wasnt a better midfielder on the park than him and absolutely dominated over likes of Barella today.

Midfield was the one area Barca absolutely dominated.

In either box Barca lost out overall due to way defended.

So far he has been the best midfielder in the QF v Dortmund and best midfielder v Inter in first leg of semis.

Surely likes of Barella cant be as ineffective next week and Pedri/FDJ will have to step up big time.

Excellent. Frenkie is the equilibrium.

We effectively played a mid 2 against 5, because Olmo didn't appear much. Frenkie especially was the key to keeping that pressure on Inter, especially in the opening 45 where we were absolutely suffocating them.
