See he is getting pelters for how bad he was v Norway.
Gets away with these performances for Barca as folk like him acting the wee hard man but his game lacks any real quality far too often.
Needs to improve a lot as his current level is not good enough for Barca and forgiven a lot for being 18.

Haha jeepers thats level it has got to..
Maybe if club could take better care of their players and coming back from injury would not have so many injuries... always used to be the argument.
Medical departments always been to blame until it was Xavi and his staff...
The old idea used to be that playing the number of minutes Gavi does would ruin a career with injuries... another argument that fell be wayside.
Anyway back to Gavi .... another of his ghost games where is poor on ball and so bad positionally can barely find it.
Xavi would have played him much more than 57 mins though.
Needs to improve big time as gurning and arguing with players is what he is known for more than quality this season.
Dani Ceballos was a level above him when came on.

Relax, at the end of the day, Gavi and Balde are our brightest prospects. Book it.
Football is a physical game. Gavi and Balde respond to fire with fire. They did so from their first games. It's embedded into their personality. That's more than half the job done. They are also crazy talented, not some sort of bumbs like half the guys around here seem to believe in the case of Gavi.
Pedri is more talented than both, but everything else about him is average. Pesonality wise, don't like him one bit. And injuies due to intensity levels are starting to become a habit. He's a softie, pure and simple. The weakest of the bunch physically by far.

Gavi gone from the 'bigger talent' than Pedri to better as has 'personality'...absolute nonsense.
Pedri had the personality to provide better performances v better teams and Gavi been average much more than some like to admit.
Pedri is better defender and better when pressed... Gavi is constantly on the ground and giving away ball a lot more as not aware of what is around him.
'Personality' Pedri has it over Gavi by far... folk confusing pointless aggression as a much bigger posiive than it is.
Such huge personality that struggles to get on ball enough or to have much quality on it.
Fucking FDJ and Busquets have been far better at creative side of game since Pedri out than Gavi has been and even Kessie/Roberto having more impact... but aye 'personality' results in some aggressive moments is huge!
Gavi at this seaons level is far from one of best mids even in La Liga and far from Pedri/FDJ at Barca.
Long way to go and a lot to improve on.

They dont even need to or partuclarly try to knock him off his game as not threatening them all that much.
They see him as an irritant much more than somene aggresively impacting the game.

Pedri first needs to work on his body so he can cope with the rigors of professional football at the top. Then we can talk. Until then, talent is not nearly enough. That's all there is to it. I know Barca fans are usually delusional and jizz themselves when they see a technical player dreaming of Iniesta and Messi, but get real.
Pedri has been missing a lot of games. Last season, and this season as well. Seems like when the season is getting more intense and physically more demanding, he gets some kind of physical problems.
He has a lot of improving to do physically. And I value physicality a lot pesonally.

Pedri been far better than Gavi since broke through.
All there is to it.
Gavi doesnt show enough qualty and needs to improve massively and have more to crow about than 'he gets injured less'. Plenty players with good injury records who havent been good enough.. very few with class of Pedri.

I see narrative changing from Gavi being 'bigger talent' though. As expected.
