Pedri: "We have to be more calm with the ball... Sometimes we rush and lose a lot of possessions."

How about getting shots on target?! Scoring goals?!

You don't gain points for possession. Possession itself is meaningless if you do nothing with it.. we need to stop this possession madness.

Absolutely true.

Thing is, our players are top class, bar a few average ones, so the most important objective should be to bring in someone who is tactically astute, can adapt his tactics to counter the team we are playing against, and one who believes in playing beautiful football with a results oriented mindset.

Flick may become available after the World Cup? Let us face it, managing a national team after the World Cup is hardly an exciting or challenging position, but that may also be exactly what he wants.

Gallardo?

Had we hired Poch or Martinez instead of Xavi (no disrespect, still a GOAT midfieldier), there is no doubt we would have gotten knocked out in the CL eventually but at least we would have made it through to the KO stages.
We do not need a Guardiola to make our top squad perform.

Any other suggestions?

Really? The guy show his ''class'' at QSG. And QSG is much better than Barca these days.

I'm still bewildered at how defensively shambolic his tactical set-up is.

Not even joking when I say that I can't recall a manager of a top team in the last 20 years or so who was so poor at defensively organizing his team.

Tuchel wouldn't work. What exactly is his approach anyways?

I watched Chelsea for the past year and a half. His approach is haram football. He literally plays antithetical to Barca's philosophy. You'll be bored, and then you'll be mad.

What's debatable is his results. Which always ends in two sides.

Didn't even watch the match. Pointless because WE NEVER FUCKING LEARN.
This is the most stupid, big club in Europe. We all know the meaning of insanity and Barca personify it.
I predicted another CL exit and now I'm predicting another EL defeat. We will lose to a team that is defensively sound and has enough intensity.
This whole Barca way is now becoming a fairy tale, a myth, a parody.
Unless the club is willing to change its philosophy this 8s going to continue to happen.
I only watched the highlights but the defence is woeful as usual.
A few good results against shitty liga teams and everyone here got excited. It took a big team in Europe to show us how far we are from competing in the CL.
Xavi needs to be sacked ASAP. Give Tuchel, Poch or Gallardo a chance.
Enough. This is not the club for internships. Let Xavi do it elsewhere. 200 million spent and still getting toyed with by Bayern. We shouldn't have spent the money. Joke of a club with a joke of a manager.

I recall watching his Dortmund, wasn't exactly haram football but was quite chaotic and not very refined. Not very good to say the least.

Sad to see us crash out like this after all the levers and signings. Pathetic stuff. Xavi is out of his dept at this level, without a doubt.

It has to be said that it would've been great if Xavi had a year or two at another European club (a midtable LL or Serie A club, say). This isn't the club for internships. Didn't even Bartomeu hold off on signing Lucho until he had enough experience? It's crazy how hyped the whole club got over inexperienced Xavi who only coached in Qatar, which is probably far below the Segunda.

FC Barcelona spent all summer activating financial levers to raise money to build a 'super team' for Xavi.

They signed arguably the best striker in the world & spent ?137.7 million in total as well as keeping Frenkie De Jong & Ousmane Dembele.

They've now failed to make the UEFA Champions League knock-outs in back-to-back seasons.

Leo Messi was carrying this club... 😞
