Guess it's because I'm aware of your posting history. You slaughtered Koeman for things Xavi is doing worse, whilst having a better squad. You're not really criticising him in the post I quoted. You're saying he needs to improve the midfield and how he uses the wingers. That's getting off extremely lightly. This is an abysmal failure and you don't want to agree with that because you've backed Xavi to high heavens. Ref calls and injuries is not an excuse.

You'are aware of Jack and shit. And Jack is long dead by now.

If you want to bring in real arguments go ahead, don't waste my time otherwise. Koeman was sacked for bringing the team to 10th place or what it was. Xavi is 1st in the league. That is if you care a bit to compare properly.

If our league campaign goes to shit, I will of course want a new manager. Other than that, I don't give a shit for this kind of witch hunt forum meltdown. A team doesn't get built in 3 months.

You're welcome
I don't even think serghei double downs on Xavi because he advocated for him in the past. Serghei's reasoning is simply that he "likes" Xavi and does not "like" Koeman. Based on what? I don't know. Maybe Xavi's haircut, maybe he has an uncle that looks like him? But then from that liking/disliking Serghei will completely develop his biased opinions and double standards.

Even if Koeman had won treble in his debut season he would come up with "well, more importantly for what defines a great coach than big achievements is consistency. Let's see if he can win the treble in his sophomore year. I'll believe it when I see it."

But on top of it all, even if he gets called out a million times he will blatantly deny it.

Having said that, hope serghei turns out to be right regarding Xavi.

Xavis delusional persona and lack of awareness were real red flags as a player. As a manager these things get magnified even further.

WTF are you on about.

Reminds me look on Darth Vader right before he dies and saves Luke. Although I doubt he'll ever admit publicly he took the wrong path. The only way he can save Barca now is to get fired.

Could've had such a bright future here such a shame how destructive ego can be.

Koeman was terrible in the end and everyone wanted him out, me included. I just definitely remember you giving him tons of shit that you fail to throw Xavi's way. There's also the stark difference in squad quality. It's night and day.

Being booted out the ucl group after 4 games is the worst we have performed in europe for longer than I can remember. It's cool though, Xavi is at the helm, and therefore momentarily being top of a la liga (that has only one other team with a similar squad level) is all we should care about. It's not a race to the bottom.

Koeman whilst a competent and steady manager had not shown anything to suggest he'd be befitting of a club of Barca's stature.

In fact some of his best stints were with small resources e.g. Feyenoord and Southampton where he did a fantastic job and the clubs like Benfica, Valencia etc with some expectations he under-performed.

Xavi at least had the unknown surrounding him.

But none of this is Koeman or Xavi's fault nor Setien before them, it runs deeper than that. It's this need to have some kind of DNA or identity with the club to even be in the job shortlist.

In terms of yesterday, Xavi did set the team out to use the ball better and they did create more moments in Inter's area but it was almost like the plan was to try and be 3-0 early and hope Inter give up any attacking intent. Because the defensive structure was horrendous.

Any structure is going to be bad if the pieces forming it are terrible. The injuries were too many, all at once, and in the same compartment. It was the perfect storm at the worst time.

If we show the same flaws with the normal players available and the bums on the bench where they belong, it's a whole different conversation.

Birdy logic:
- a team that won its CL group that year
- a team who got dumped out in the QF of CL
- a team who was in first place before valverde got sacked
- a team who had setien as manager for the rest of the season

was the worst barca team since the gaspart days - worse than the teams that couldn't even get out of their respective CL groups. sound logic

Of course, in your numb brain factors such as who plays in the group are erased.

The 19/20 team is:
- A team that had both under EV and Setien the worst xG created in many many years
- A team that lost the league to a meh RM that was only playing defense that season, and EV was gonna lose the league as well he couldn't even win the Classico that year
- A team that lost pathetically to Atletico for SuperCopa
- A team that struggled against fucking Slavia Prague in the CL group, struggled against Dortmund, and were only lucky to win Inter at home
Then Bayern came and showed the true level of that Barca team

In a sense this team is much better EVEN in CL, despite being in reconstruction:
- This Inter is 20 times better than Conte's meh Inter that season,
- Plzen is as good as Slavia were,
- And today's Bayern is like 8 tiers above 2019 BvB.

We can at least win comfortably the Slavia Prague of today, Plzen, without embarrassing our fans like in 2019.

You guys are funny, I give you that. Comparing 1st place to 10th place and accusing me of double standards.

IF you paid attention, we were talking about Koeman's first season, when things clicked from January onwards.

The 2nd season was derailed for many reasons, but citing '10th place' is cheating...
with differences of 1 2 or 3 pts from the 10th to the 2nd place, we were not where you imply we were

We would have won CL spot comfortably if Koeman had stayed until the summer, especially with January transfers that came in
Nothing else of major importance, but that one yes

Injuries is an excuse.

Xavi fucked up and Barca had more than enough to beat Inter.

An Inter with injuries themselves... Brozovic and Lukaku are two of their best players and both missed both games.

Dont ask for Roberto to be renewed and Alonso to be signed while making on Pique cant be a squad player if then complain squad is too shite when lose. Xavi had part to play in them being there.

I only wanted Koeman out after his 2nd season looked like a disaster in the making. Xavi improved the team after Koeman was sacked, should be fairly clear. Xavi still hasn't lost a single away game in the league since he was named.

He got better results that season compared to Koeman (who wasn't doing much other than moaning non-stop) even before the signings were made in January. In fact, we constantly went up in the league table after Koeman was gone.

Romero saying we want to demote him to assistant and bring Flick.
Not gonna happen, but at least we know the board isn't blind to his performance

That would mean Xavi failed according to them basically. Assistant role is just symbolic as to save face.
Prefer Xavi to just continue until end of season at minimum.

But I don't believe it regardless, unless this is Xavi's idea. He is first in La Liga.
