I would say it was the opposite actually, by the time he reached his prime it was Xavi who benefited more from prime Busquets.

It's a matter of interpretating what we see in a different way. We saw much the same things, but for me Xavi is the greatest, smartest, most press resistant midfielder I've seen by a distance.

The biggest force of 2009-12 Barca in terms of press resistance structure were Pep and Xavi. When they were both gone, Busi's form has gone down prematurely, and not much of it was down to him. Simply too much of what was there in 2009-12 simply wasn't in a pretty drastic fashion.

But none of those two teams have anything on Barcelona and Madrid from back in the pep days, la Liga was more fun to watch at it's best and teams outside city and Liverpool are even worst to watch.

This city team is hella boring to watch, Liverpool a bit better.
