People need to understand the concept of "celeb halo".

To normal people, Shakira's attractiveness multiplies by 100 because she's a world famous performer but in the celebrity bubble of Pique and Shakira's life you see it as "yeah, she's my partner" not like "Wow! I can't believe I'm with THE Shakira", hence we need to look at this from Pique's perspective instead of an outsider's one.

Also, there are plenty of sexier women out there who look much better than Shakira but they don't have status halo she has. They might make life way more fun for you than a Shakira does.

At the end of the day, in marital life, you don't care if you're wife is super-famous. What matters is if the relationship is working. All those "Power-Couple" things are PR guff; only good for grabbing headlines. Tell me how many of them are actually happy behind the dichotomy of fame!

Confusing post if I have ever seen one. First paragraph you describe "celebrity halo" and Pique would not be as susceptible to it because he is a famous person.

Then second paragraph you explain how Pique did fall for her even though he could have been with way hotter women. So "celebrity halo" did apply to him?

Then in third paragraph you basically conclude "celebrity halo" is nonsense as it does not matter if you go into a relationship with a famous person you yourself being famous or not, as in all relationships ultimately boils down to same things and your wife being super-famous stops being a thing.

Very unlikely he will be ever be with someone more popular/famous as Shakira. It means different power dynamics in a relationship. Normal girl/woman will be more of a house wife for him probably, because his income is so high. That's pretty boring compared to Shakira. World famous musician.

She is from wealthier family than Antonella I think(even though latter had it good as well). Arabic family in jewelry business(god I miss it, except the weather). She is self-made to an extent but had all the connections and money. You can already tell from the level of English she spoke since very early on she went to fancy private school. She is definitely a hard worker though and more impressive than what Antonella did. But I can't really hate on Antonella. She seems the type of supportive woman a man needs. She truly seems to make Messi happy and not give him headaches. I am not so sure if that is the case with Shakira. I will have a woman that does not give me headaches over a successful musician that does any time of the day. You might deal with the drama for a few months but will not last with that shit for all many years lol. Unless you enjoy the drama. I don't.

Fun fact: J-Balvin is also from a rich family but tries to hide it and create narrative he had it tough and moved to States to work as a painter. He did work as a painter but simply because he wanted to not because he needed. But he is definitely trying to convince people of latter lol.

Successful people always retroactively try to convince themselves more and more they did everything by themselves and try to erase the fact they were in a very privileged position to start with not having to worry about their future regardless from their minds. Probably because of insecurities.

I usually called out the rich class on this in South-America. Boy they didn't like it.

I might be wrong about Shakira and I am purely speculating. What you posted might be the reason they don't get along and Shakira could still be a cool chick.

Truth is: I have been with plenty of Colombian women. And I don't like to generalize so it sounds bad if I tell you that they are all crazy. But if I would tell you that some/most are crazy I would be lying. In the end they did start to all drive me up the wall, every single one of them. Even ones where I thought they wouldn't. It was just a matter of time. On one hand I don't blame them. Lovely beautiful caring women, but victim to very toxic masculine culture.

You interpreted it incorrectly. What I meant was that the celebrity halo makes normal people say things like "How can you break up with the one and only Shakira".....
Actually to Pique it won't matter coz: a) He's himself famous
b) After being with her for so long, she becomes his partner rather than the celebrity Shakira at home.

Basically, we must understand it from Pique's perspective. To him it doesn't matter how big Shakira is. He has already had a long relationship with her and maybe it's just not working anymore.

The ego of Gossip-y Doormat wives gets a bit affected by self made megastars like Shakira.

I'd be surprised if they got along. Shakira has her own life and identity. Makes perfect sense that they didn't get along

Toxic fights seem almost inevitable. Or at least, them attempting to create one. I would usually just walk away tell them I don't have time for this. Lovely women but made very insecure and start to get suspicious of their man as time passes. If you treat them bad problems will arise for obvious reasons. But if you treat them with the utmost respect they will believe it to good to be true and start to get suspicious and you are likely cheating or chasing other women according to them. Sometimes you can't do right either way
You spend a day without them just to have some me-time" you are likely cheating according to them because there they are more used to a very clingl relationship and spend every minute of day together. 2 months is a long time by the way. I would say 2-3 weeks.

I have always tried to be as honest with them as I could, they should not get attached to me as I would continue my backpacking journey soon. And they would tell me "hey, I completely understand what we have going on here, don't worry" Boy was I na?ve to believe that it could be ever that easy...

I am sliiiiiiiiightly exaggerating since I have a lot of good memories even when they be crazy. But....the patterns...you definitely start to see patterns. And you reach a point where you start to laugh because how true those patterns are and they will end up happening almost every single time. I know I laughed.

The amazing sex almost makes everything worth it though.
