Killa KOUNDE.

Legitimately might be the biggest new signing we make out of the lot! He will transform our defence!

I thought this guy was a beast the first time I watched him at Sevilla years ago, and I never had that feeling with Lenglet, who did have some good games, but Kounde is a tier or two higher.

Lack of height should not be a concern as his jumping reach is quite high. Masche was our best CB in the 2010s. Reckon Xavi will play him at that inverted fullback role at RB though.

They just signed Koulibaly too.

Tuchel's squad building IQ is levels above Xavi lmao.

Xavi probably LOVES Ferran, doesn't he?

Xavi may not be very good as a coach, but he is bad as a manager. The fact that he likes Torres, Dembele ( with his injury history) and now Kounde proves my words. He and Laporta should learn very important lesson. Never buy African French players. They are all injury prone. Plus, French players don't feet weel in Barcelona.

I think you're watching a different Kounde. He's strong on the tackle, maybe not as much like Pepe, but he definitely isn't a pussy

Writing Pepe and Kounde in the same sentence is a world class joke. Obviously you are good at them.

It's pretty obvious - because he plays in La Liga. If he'd play in EPL they would all scream how great he is and that we should buy him.

Folks always think La Liga are players overrated even if we've bought some great players from Sevilla.

I can name just two great players who came from Sevilla - Seydu Keita and Dani Alves. Adriano and Rakitic were serviceable, but not great. And the last signing from there were the reason many Barca fans stopped watching their games. His name is Clement Lenglet. We were very lucky this summer that the Spurs agreed to take him on loan, but I am 200% sure, next summer he will be back to Barcelona and we have to face again the same problem.
Jules Kounde does not have the physical tools to become a great player. I don't know what Xavi has seen in him, but Jules is a player from Lenglet and Umtiti level.

WTF are you talking about? Rakitic was a great signing for 18 mil and Umtiti was a world class defender until 2018. Lenglet was the basically the only bad signing from Sevilla. Unfortunately he couldn't cope with the pressure.

If we manage to include Depay in this deal it would be beneficial for both sides. Sevila would get a great player in Depay and we would get much needed depth in defense. IMHO this is a win-win situation.

Sorry but can't agree on this one.. Rakitić was a great signing, he was world class midfielder when he was signed.. Not having tools to be a great player, he was like the best defender of last season, Sevilla only conceded 30 goals entire season, their defence was much better than our,Real Madrid and Atletico defence wich says a lot considiring the names that play for biggest 3 spanish clubs.. No offence but the guy hasn't even put Barca kit on and already some fans are passing judgments..

Aleix Vidal was probably the clearest L we took on a transfer from Sevilla.

Alves - best RB ever, enough said
Rakitic - was at that time the best midfielder in La Liga, outside of Barca and Real players
Keita - very good squad option
Adriano - again, good squad option for our style of play and the versatility he brought
Lenglet - was on a good run when we got him and played very well under Valverde. But tbf we bought him to be 3rd CB, even if he went down hill

Indeed Sevilla transfers have done very well for us, I'm confident Kounde will do well.

I have my doubts whether depay would want to play for sevilla but if we can do a cash plus player for him. Even better
