We'll apparently re-start negotiations with Araujo and Gavi properly again this international break so think we'll see an agreement for both soon.

Why are we offering him more money than what we're offering Araujo?

He's more unproven at the top level.

Because we are shortsighted idiots. Don't be surprised if we cash in on Araujo, to replace him with a worse but a free player in Christensen, who will also get more money than Araujo wants.

You need to understand that free players always get inflated salaries. It's either that or the sign-on bonus, or sometimes both. Players get multiple offers and there's always a fight between clubs.

In Araujo and Gavi's case, other clubs can't officially offer them anything, and they won't get that new salary until like 15 months from now.

Bayern offered 10m salary

It's done

That's so fake it's laughable. No way Bayern would be offering that kind of a salary, and to a RB no less. I thought I told you to stop posting fake news and trying to fool people, boy. ;)

I'm content with us offering 5M, and if reports about him wanting to come here and actually preferring us, then he'll accept and I'll be very happy to have him and Dest and the RB position hopefully covered for years.

If not, good riddance, we'll extend Alves for one last year and make do with him and Dest for another year, not to mention if we get Azpi, he can also cover RB for a couple of years and by then a new good player will be available in that position, maybe even on a free again.

Since Xavi's come in and the direction is clear, even in what kind of players we're going after, I'm lot less bothered if we don't get someone, cause I just know Xavi and Alemany will just find a similar player in due time. Having a clear plan on what kind of a player you want on every position, so it basically just becomes a question of finding the right player to fit into the system, not trying to change the system to accommodate players you buy, makes the scouting much easier.

It is by no means done but Bayern did apparently offer him 10m gross or something allegedly more than what we offered. If we offered him 5m net, it should be pretty comparable, not off by much.

If he wants to follow his idol Dani Alves and come here to play under Xavi and be on this exciting project, then great; if he wants to go join Bayern for like a 1m more just to win another 10 Bundesliga and 8 Pokal titles in a row, then be my guest.

Also claims of closing a deal with Azpilicueta. Dest has shown potential and has been playing great under Xavi. Even if he was first sub for both Mazraoui and Alba, I wonder if he would stay. That would still leave us with Cesar and potentially Alves. I rather lose Roberto and keep Dest, for sure.

What's the tax in Germany? 10m gross would be close to 5m in Spain, don't know about Germany.

Anyway, how high do we rate this guy? What's his ceiling? Is he our long term RB solution or another stopgap until someone actually good pops up?

From what I have seen of him, he is good, already plays the 'inverted full-back' position that Xavi wants,
but Dest has higher ceiling than him, especially when it comes to ball retention, dribbling, and 1-1 defending

Having both compete for the RB spot will be marvelous

According to Google the top tax bracket in Germany is 45%. So very comparable figures.

The club seems to rate this guy pretty high and I believe our intention is to buy him as a long term RB solution. I have only watched him once and had mixed feelings about him. All over the place, can be very offensively-minded, but defensively I am a bit iffy about him. Tall, not very fast and physical from what I have seen.

Weak physical, not fast, had injury problems all time... what could go wrong

When Haaland signs for cityroumors will be gone.

They want to suck raiolas balls with this transfer

[Alfredo Martinez] Mazraoui will be the third signing of Barcelona for the summer after Christensen and Kessie.

Seems to be done. Christensen and Mazraoui were the big ones for me, they should help the squad the most (not to mention the latter is without alternative). Don't care about Kessie to be honest, but I can see the appeal.
