"While Demb?l? is at Bar?a he has to play, we are not here to give educational lessons and he is going to play the same. Having him and not putting him on is cuckolded and beaten."

Gaspart is on the money. We need Dembele to help us reach 4th again.

When posers are touting the POV of Gaspart, you are reminded how many have grown up in the era of Rosell/Bartomeu & can't see the forest through the trees

I don't mind him playing. Use him the way he's most effective: as sub.

If he would stay next season as well. Smartest thing would be to get him accustomed to another 2 in the forward line.
But now, we should consider him as a super sub, throw him on against tired legs in 70th minute.

Sure there's a humiliating part in never starting. But he wants to play, so he shouldn't complain if all he gets is 15-20 min.
I think it's a win win for both. We can make use of him without becoming reliant on him.

i became a true follower(grew up) of barca in 96-97 along with R9 joining, so i've 'experienced' the whole gaspart era.

rosell/bartomeu eras were light years ahead of that. mainly due to hitting the jackpot with messi and la masia wonderkids.

Pretty much similar to me, although I was a season later in 97-98 with Rivaldo. It was watching Newcastle vs Barcelona in the champions league that season when Barca affection started.

The Brazilian players like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Romario etc seemed almost mythical back then, with first names on the shirts and the skills etc

Can't imagine what Barca would look like during Gaspart without the great Rivaldo.

Like shit. I can tell you. I've been watching Barca since 1991-1992. Sadly then there was just Eurogoals and likes available to see in Croatia. Some random games...

But hell what Rivaldo did for Barca... Pulling it all by himself.

For me it was the 99/00 season :) And I agree, although to be fair, I wasn't invested as much back then, since I was just a kid and still followed the club just sparingly.

You really do come out with some of the most bland cliches that attempt to sound all knowing and wise.

We get it you think you are the staunchest of Cules. That is your schtick.

I do remember Rivaldo. Honestly, i would place him above Dinho even though i love Dinho more.

Ronaldinho was more iconic for where team went under him in time but also agree Rivaldo was better.

Used to have endless debates with mates back then about Rivaldo v Zidane.

If could take either Rivaldo/Ronaldinho into Barca team now it would be Rivaldo no question. Think he was better at peak and more suited to todays game.

But Ronaldinho as said is more iconic as major catalyst in getting Barca back on top. Same way someone like Cantona is one of if not Man Uniteds biggest icons but there a lot of players that have been better than him.
