Let's be honest every coach capitalized on Messi's talent from Rijkaard to Setien (expect kowman).

Xavi has to work without Messi which is a first at FCB since like 15 years.

That being said, "Forum football experts" trashed Messi when he said EV was not the issue but it's much easier and don't take any courage to just change the coach rather than the players ..

Of course any sane human being will have chosen the right side !

Sure he is sipping a glass of fine wine on his beautiful estate laughing his arse off at what we've become without him. Laporta should do the right thing, get on his knees and beg for this top 5 manager in the world to make a comeback.

"EV is ruining our great talents like Semedo, Arthur and Dembele, Xavi is the chosen one!" This was the consensus opinion on this forum not too long ago.

Ever heard of Pep, Tuchel, Klopp, Flick, nagelsmann, ZZ?

I will concede Pep, Tuchel and Klopp. A reasonable argument for the likes of Flick and Nagelsmann to occupy the final 2 spots could be made, but they are by no means nailed on top 5 managers in the world. The 4-5 positions can be debated among half a dozen names. Conte, EV, Carlo, Simeone etc. Valverde is definitely in the mix.

Just a reminder that Ernesto valverde only lost 7 league games in 2.5 years and has the best classic record in Barca history

Also didn't lose against Atletico either, if i recall.

Stunning record.

Big game coach

5-1 Real Madrid
0-3 Real Madrid
0-3 Real Madrid
3-0 Juventus
3-0 Liverpool
5-0 Sevilla
6-1 Sevilla
4-1 Roma
3-0 Chelsea
2-4 Tottenham
3-0 Dortmund
5-1 Lyon
3-0 Manchester United
2-4 Sevilla

All that in 2.5 years with an aging and mentally weak squad that lacked quality in many areas.
