Leo Messi= ?I had other offers when I left Barcelona as free agent, but I have to admit that we came to an agreement quite quickly with PSG."

Yeah cause the other offers rm English teams were half of PSg's offer and one barca would have matched.

Ney was definitely one of the main reason, both wanted to play together and this was the perfect opportunity.

PSG was an easy choice. Neymar and his Argentine amigos. At Man City, he would have known no one and the transition could have been even more difficult

Slam dunk choice. Money + amigos + great city for his kids + his wife gets to raid the Louis Vuitton and Channel shops regularly. And he has a chance to win the CL of course.

Easier league allows him to rest for CL and Argentina too.

CR7 probably would have gone to PSG too if Messi didn't this year. And in EPL, there was no way he could spit on United by joining City. I mean, United fans love him more than RM fans ever did...

Yea, both him and CR7 are looking for ways to attach themselves to successful sides so they can use their popularity to win an undeserved Ballon d'Or. Neither is a top 5 player right now. And that's being generous.

They are both pretty past it, especially Messi due to his inferior athleticism. Only the name remains. I think it's time they retire personally. They shouldn't get anywhere near the Ballon d'Or. It's a joke award these days.

Kante should be a top 3 favorite easy, and nobody speaks about him. Man was unreal in the CL in the games that mattered.

Disagree on Messi being more past it than CR7. All is takes is watching the game to know that's not true.

Delete it before the more radical extremists see it.

Ronaldo is still a great goalscorer, but he has turned one-dimensional.

Yes, he has the occasional good game, but his performances are mostly summed up in scoring goals, which is at the end of the day is what you want your striker to do, but he doesnt offer much else these days.

What games? Messi is very effective against dross teams. Against big teams, I'd give Ronaldo the edge, until Messi convinces me otherwise. Both are past it, not even half the players they were 3 years ago, let alone 5.

It's mostly physical. Ronaldo gives more effort and is faster. Messi struggles with the pace of big games these days. For Messi to still be effective he needs to either have the whole team built around him, or he needs to run more. It's as simple as that.

He'll be fine if he realizes this and puts in a harder shift instead of walking and pretending everyone has to play Messi ball. He should be better physically than Ronaldo, considering he is a good few years younger, but Ronaldo seems fitter and faster.
