Pep vs Klopp: 22 games 9W-4D-9L
H2H record still tied.

Now imagine Klopp's record had he had an unlimited budget to spend 100m on the likes of grealish or if he managed a team like bayern in bayernliga:tata:

Klopp is a underdog manager something going tells me he'd win titles but he wouldn't be as successful as Pep at the top. Look at another under dog manager like Mou 12 years Chelsea x2, RM and United only 4 league titles 0 CL.

I don't think they played many games when Pep was at Bayern did they? Maybe like 6?

I personally rate Klopp higher when there's an average squad at disposal.

Can't rate Guardiola managing an average squad when he hasn't had the chance to either.

To fair to Pep City were 4th the season before he took over and only made CL on goal difference while won one title in four years.

The spending is a bit misleading when Liverpool have spent so well and had players like TAA emerge.

Supposedly Klopp was no all that much in favour of signing Robertson/Salah etc but the Liverpool transfer committee pushed them through.

Klopp is amazing but not as simple as just comparing money spent.

we'll never know. maybe if he takes the german NT job. but i think germany's squad will be very average by then

klopp has got the very best of average players and he's taken players with potential and turned them into superstars. he also doesn't seem to have a weird personality that would get him into zlatan-pep conflicts with non "school-boy" players

nothing suggests he wouldn't be as succesful at the top besides the demotivation of players after succesful cycles.

People forget that Klopp has Liverpool and Anfield. Liverpool are a huge team with huge fan base. Anfield atmosphere literally wins them games + refs give them decisions that City doesn't get.

Btw

I rank both managers equal as the two best in the world, 1a and 1b.

bad day for BBZ8800.

Pep managed to not lose v mighty, physical beasts Pool.

Technically superior yet mentally weak teams don't crumble in league matches or in group stages CL, because no matter what happens, they still have a lot of games to neutralize the defeat and they will usually manage to do it due to their technical superiority and their league history in previous seasons.

On the other hand, when they come to CL quarters KO matches = well, just watch majority of Pep's City ties and you'll understand.

Even Mats is rarely crumbling in La Liga.
But when he plays in a key CL KO match or for a German NT team, he is another person.

Pep has accomplished much more in Europe and in key moments than MATS ever will  What a weird comparison.
