He will start scoring soon I don't doubt that at all. IMHO the biggest problem is if PSG can start playing like a team. They will win Ligue 1 without a doubt but for CL you need to have a strong team discipline otherwise you will get slaughtered for sure. He will probably win another Ballon d'Or this December so his main goal should be another CL. If he truly wants to win it he should forget about individual rewards. In order to win CL players need to put their ego aside and listen to their manger every now and than.

What Lucho did in 2014/15 was a masterpiece. He basically convinced Messi, Suarez, Neymar and others to put aside their personal goals in order to win CL and what a season it was. As a consequence Messi also won his fifth Ballon d'Or. Next season, however, everything went south again when players decided not to follow his ideas anymore. Messi should try to realize that if he wants to win another CL he needs to be an integral part of the team and not one man band.

again with the amigos bullshit, while casually omitting the fact that barca has hired the same type of managers for the last 30 years. club legend, spanish speaker or dutch. or a combination of those characteristics.

but i guess it suits the agenda to blame the amigos for everything that happened in this club's history.

Being a club legend or speak language of where club is based would cover just about all top clubs.

Not all coaches though. There has been Robson, Venables etc in the past.

The club were clearly choosing a type of coach not to upset the apple cart of overly power group of amigos and never the type of coaches to come in and change things.

I agree with malvi that you dont buy messi to sub him when the score is 1-1 in a derby. On the other hand Messi's role wont work anymore, he needs to adapt to the team then he and the team will play better.

I dont see a big ego of the players on the pitch (well they dont do defense work) as the front three are searching each other and i dont see egoistic actions.

In 15/16 we played sometimes even better than in 14/15 in first half but lucho didnt rotate enough and players were tired for the second half.

i would say the team has to adapt to him. only neymar looks in sync with messi. the other players don't know what to do and when to run.

maybe they'll get there somehow. also they need a focal point in attack.

the runs from the other players will come with the time but there were 2-3 situations when Ney/Di maria had the ball and run forward and Messi jogged next to them instead of running into the free space to get the ball. Then Ney and di maria stopped and played a side pass to Messi. During that time Lyon could easily build up their defence again.

he actually made some good runs but he was too busy passing the ball to di maria instead of shoot on target from good position:lol:

at least 10 fans in that picture felt Messi's wrath.

Will Poch have the balls to do it again?

Messi: "I am lucky to have been coached by Pep and Lucho, the best coaches. Their mentality helped me grow and improve physically, mentally and tactically." from 2020 interview

He didnt mention Ernesto....shows that he puts LE also over him.
