he is obviously too bad for the high level of football but he was often the best midfield player in many matches from us last season. Thats shocking as this shows how deep we fallen.

Very true words from Xavi, and Busquets is one easy example to make but it's always the same. A shame he couldn't come this summer, he understands stuff.

This was a nice video. Even though you know even more than in games that he will find Messi watching this video, it's a bit tough to see and follow the ball with the pointer every time, as the timing is so geniously perfect, and he can impressively either find the foot or a small space, even though he passes through the gaps in midfield.
There are so much talk about players being "one step ahead" and it's often people not understanding trying to explain things they don't see (just as it often is when players are said to be doing "silent work") but take a look at some of these passes, he truly sees the movement of the whole oppositions midfield two or three steps in advance some of the time.

If he'd tested positive a few weeks ago maybe we'd have better chances to win the league.
Also, is he out for Euro? He'll most likely still be a starter next season so getting some rest during the summer wouldn't be bad. OTOH we've seen what impact covid had on some players so I'm affraid he'll be even worse next season and we'll still have no real alternative to him.

people said the same thing about ter stegen's injury. and then they woke up and remembered neto was a calamity when he played.
we tried playing FDJ and pjanic in busquets's place and they failed. so can't fault koeman for playing busquets over and over.

Neto was a little bit shaky but he was not a complete jackass like ter stegen. I would start neto anyday.

Busi only missed two games this season.
When he was injured early in the season we've played FDJ-Pjanić in a double pivot against AM. Should've draw that game but MATS fecked up. And then we beat Bilbao when Busi was suspended.
But Pjanić never got a chance to play as DM in a 4-3-3 with FDJ-Pedri alongside him. Nor did we try FDJ as a DM with Pjanić-Pedri or something like that.
So unless we use a two games example it's hard to say FDJ/Pjanic failed playing in Busi's place.
