Ronald Koeman

So will the reigns of Valverde, Seiten, and Koeman finally send a god damn signal to any potential manager replacements that this old core is fucking finished?

There's zero point anymore in keeping these guys around, they are damaged goods. Vidal, Semedo, Rakitic, Suarez were binned during the summer but we still have a lot of damaged goods here.

Difference between those and this old core is LA MASIA. You can easily bin a foreigner, but not some La Masia darling who is like the child of Barcelona citizens.

I mean sure they are from La Masia, but it's suicide at this point to keep these guys around just because they came through.

The cons obviously were that he's been a very average or below par manager for most of his career.

The cons ended up outweighing the pros.

Nah, overall better season than expected.
Just a shitty ending.
That is a whole other argument than should he continue or not.
But overall, the season wasn't bad for expectations

Beforehand these results would've been more acceptable I think. We were pretty close to the title, which was our goal for this season.

But looking at what type of games that made us not win the title, it's a very disappointing performance. Having games like Granada, Levante, Celta and Eibar that are title defining is a dream. 12 points to win the title, and we've dropped 8 of those so far.

Hence the "shitty ending " part.

Goes to show what kind of team this is. Bad first half of the season when people expect us to win. When title race is 'over' in winter we play without pressure and piling up wins.
When pressure starts to come, the team crumbles, both in Supercopa, CL and in the League.

Team is to blame because it's far from the first time pressure gets to them, but Koeman apparently isn't the coach to fix it. His tactical abilites are far from top class and the hope was that he could motivate the players into overachieving, which he hasn't been able to.

The real question is what the true level of this team is. Start/end of the season or the strong months in between? What if Koeman has made them play over their standard in the most successful phase of the season?

Koeman said the team is too young and needs more players in the 26-28 age range.

Funny he didn't say the team is too old and needs more in the 26-28 range.

Over their standard? Our standard is still high enough to expect wins against any opponent not named Madrid or Atletico. We've declined and are pretty far from Europe's best, but this is the weakest La Liga in many years.

Koeman is terrible but this team won't be any better until we make a complete overhaul. There are to many players that don't contribute at all. Let's be realistic here.

Pique and Busi are old and done. They should retire or follow Iniesta path.
Alba has declined massively.
Dest, Araujo and Mingueza are still far from the required level.
Lenglet is a walking disaster.
Roberto is just a squad player and nothing more.
Mats disappears in every important match.
Pedri is a WC talent but far from finished product and we don't know if Moriba will succeed or not.
Dembele is Demebele.
Fati is a huge talent but who knows what will happen with him after that terrible injury.
Coutinho and Griezmann are the worst transfers we ever did.
If we add Trincao, Martin, Firpo, Umtiti, Puig and Pjanic to that list we can conclude that our team is weak and lacks character.

I don't like Koeman but let's be fair here. Our team sucks. We need to strengthen this team massively but we don't have any money. Even if we hire Klopp or Pep and we spend 200 mil on new players it would take some time to be abbe to seriously compete on the highest level.

Something like that... yes. This team sucks and there is no money for anything... and even if there was some money, most WC players won't come to this chaos.
