Last season, at this point we had 40 points, this season we have 37. The difference is that last season we were first at that time, but this season Atleti are first with 44 points, and 2 games in hand.

And? This season we're not even close. Not expecting to be world beaters, but should have done better. Especially when Real is poor

Ok, turn back the clock to August. People were saying we'll struggle for champions League spot. Looks to me things are turning out better than we thought.

7/10 for me. If we were in a title fight it would be 10/10 under these circumstances.

Who said anything about resting Busquets? He took a deliberate yellow card to get rested next liga game. Only argument there would be if he was close to getting a red, which he wasn't.
Pedri looks tired after all these games and he is important to our game. He should have been given a rest at halftime for sure.
Dembele was having a pretty decent game but it was good to sub him anyway.
Griezmann and braith show no sign of fatigue, but would it really hinder our chances against elche if one of them got subbed by, let's say konrad?
I wouldn't like Dest to be risked at this point.

Edit:

About Koeman, we are doing exactly as I expected we would.
Top 3-4 spot in the league, copa del ray contenders.
As for cl, if we get past this round, it would be beyond my expectations. So I would say 8/10 with this current squad and circumstances.

League is pretty poor overall. Plus most small/medium sides lack the crowds to stimulate them in games against us or Real.

Half the season is gone. How do we rate Koeman?

7/10 for me. He has some very good managerial qualities and is transparent, tells it like it is. It's refreshing to hear that as all too often you hear managers saying they're pleased after games no matter what.

However there have been times where I've seriously questioned his choice and timing of substitutions, and his general lack of response to the momentum of the game. Although that has improved in the last couple months because at the beginning of the season it was a tactical clusterfuck when chasing a result.

He also never got the personnel he wanted to transfer to the club too, however I seriously think Memphis would be a huge mistake. He scores more goals from penalties than open play most of the time and is not a 9 in the purest sense.

So yeah 7/10, solid so far.

You're welcome
With our home crowd full of tourists? Nah

Seems to be sentiment amongst analysts that star players thrive off more from the crowd presence.
EPL, La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 not as one sided as asual.

Dunno which to be true.

Seems to do better in the league lately. If he manages to keep the trend alive for the rest of the season, won't hold it against him.

The biggest questionmark seems his in game management. Should do much better in so called big games.
