It is 'insane' to back Laporta just on his name and not on the project he presents.

Lots of what made the previous board a success and the way it was run is no longer there. If they vote him in if campaign is as poor as last time and reject a 'better' project that wont be best for club.

Great leaders attract good talent (on the administrative level), he build a great team once, he will do it again.

That is part of the decision of voting him in whether there is a good team around him and how his campaign goes. Last time round it was terrible and he expected to get voted in on name alone it seemed.

What happened first time round with the team assembled with so many young businessmen getting together to with similar ideas and link to Cruyff are in the past.

Laporta was parading Pogba as the marquee signing and Eric Abidal as the sporting director. We dodged the former, unfortunately had to endure the latter.

He was vague on sponsorship as well and couldnt answer a simple question about naming a B team player GK. It was a car crash campaign.

For anyone to doubt the great joan Laporta is absolutely insane, well expect the usual suspects who try to discredit his greatness back in the day, with there "it's the board" line of argument, only for some members of that exact same board to become leaders of the club after the great joan Laporta left & the rest as they say is history, (& ofc that history his that they ruined us).

Sometimes going back, is the only way to go forward, just look at our rivals in madrid if you need an example, perez has been a much better president the 2nd time around.

Given that just imagine how good the great joan Laporta will he for us, he crushed perez the first time around & he will do it again.

Never understand estimate the value of a Charismatic leader who actually knows what he is doing.

History is littered with examples of the transformative powers they have on organization. One such example being ofc barcelona under the great JOAN LAPORTA.

But history as also showed us that barca socios are freaking idiots so font stands a chance.

Laporta was a great president. But the past is the past. His head doesn't seem to be in it. So far his campaign has been as lame as his last one. I am not a fan of Font but he seems to have a plan. I'm not sure Laporta has one.

Exactly. Last thing we need is our president half assing his tenure.

Laporta and Font should team up. Laporta for his popularity and to secure votes, Font because he has an actual project which in it's entirity is not dissimilar to what Laporta planned with Koeman (ended being Rijkaard- how we have come full circle) and then Pep.

Laporta can step down/take an advisory role in a few years as, to me, it clearly seems that he is not in this with all of his heart. Certainly not the way that Perez wanted it when he came back.

Perez learnt from his mistakes. Give him credit for that.

Font stuck in the mud!

A letter from Xavi stating he?ll stay in Qatar until the World Cup 2022:

https://twitter.com/marsallorente/status/1339894930165133319?s=21

He never states he's staying their until 2022 personally.

While later it will be time to take the next step in my career, for now, I am focused on enjoying my time here and making the most of the opportunity to play a small role in Qatar's exciting journey leading up to 2022.

If Laporta or Font comes calling, he will take the job.
