Achraf Hakimi

Other than agent's words that they don't want to cut ties to Madrid whatever happens in this window, not yet. But that in itself would suggest it might be negotiable.

Also negotiations were supposedly in the works since March.

Well, if it is such an expensive deal then Inter would be idiots to accept a buyback clause, Unless it is a massive one.

Same as Dortmund developing Hakimi for Madrid. No self respecting "top" club should be okay with stuff like that.

Juve accepted it sure enough for Morata. And Dortmund don't give a toss about prestige seemingly. They seem rather altruistic about running things ergo - you give us these sick young dudes, we'll let them grow and you pay us when you want them to win for you.

TBH if Inter's priorities is to break the Scudetto dominance to get back some of the rep, then making non-permanent deals is not that much of a problem. Buying for 40 is pretty low, ordinarily I'd expect us to want anything between 50 + a bunch of clauses and 70. And if Real get a buyback that they don't need to act on before 2023 or 2024 then Inter are in a fairly secure spot with at least 2 seasons worth of the player and getting 30M when Real comes back for him.

Well, we all know Dortmund isnt a serious rival to Bayern, they alwasy bend over.
I guess Inter does have real ambitions, as it seems to be no buy-back.

Inter could have him for a couple of seasons and win things, go further in CL, build a more attractive team for others to come into.

There are plenty of reasons it would be a good deal for them even if buy back was same as his price or even less.

1-It is 40+5, in the era of COVID-19
2-He will be one of the most expensive fullbacks in history of football. It is -right now- the cheapest position in football.
3-I highly doubt Hakimi will ever be the most expensive FB in history of football. Right now that record goes to Cancelo with 65, but it was an Arthur/Pjanic type of deal to set up the books, with Danilo going the other way. The next in the line is Mendy for 58M. That is 22M less than yout suggested double. I don't think Hakimi will ever be worth that money.

RM is already getting a great deal, with or without the hypothetical buyback.

Is there is any reports of buyback? Or people making a suggestion here?

Well inflation could push his price up there if ECB keeps the printing presses at full swing  and he's only 21 so let's see how it pans out.

Ben Mendy? one of my fav characters, his dynamic with Pep is hilarious

City is like the FBI hahaha

Generally this is true with many deals.
Thing is, if my search is right, with Hakimi deal, he will be 3rd most expensive player in the history of the position, with the other 2 going to City. In the time of financial crisis.
This is expensive deal tbh, and it is rare to have buyback with expensive players.
Anyway, surely there will be more detailed reports about what is the deal is going to look like

Dont think it is particularly expensive. Actually seems quite cheap even in this market where some teams are still spending.

Buy back or not at 40m can see why Inter want him.

Given Conte plays with wing-backs and how good and influential Hakimi can be as a wing-back, this is a pretty damn good deal for Inter.

They are on the verge of signing Tonali too.

If they can keep their best players they should be up there as Serie A favorites along with Juventus.

Hakimi was incredible this season, and he is only 21.
He is already better than Carvahal at going forward.
Klopp, Pep, Poch would take him in a heartbeat over Carvahal.
Well, Zidane is not the best out there to develop players, isn't he?

Achraf Hakimi to Inter, here we go! Total agreement for €40M + €5M add ons to Real Madrid on permanent deal. Buy back clause has never been discussed - no chance. He’ll join Inter on next week also with medicals and official announcement @DiMarzio @SkySport #Inter #Hakimi
