It's a loan. Albeit he probably won't be back for good and he'll likely be sold next summer. But then again he's under contract till 2019 so who knows.

What a stupid asshole. I love him as a player, but he's just so dumb about himself. He benched Marcelo and was KEY to us winning the major matches in 13/14. Can be an absolute annihilator of the wingers and even if limited going forward, he was such a player. His work ethic was utter shit after the Decima win and on top of that he's now a walking injury. No point holding onto him really, but it's such a shame.

Thanks are due for these 4 years. He was once the top player at his position, only players like Alaba could touch him when he was at it.

He was brilliant during the RM/Bayern CL tie in 2014. If he worked hard enough he could be called one of the top LBs in the world. But there seems to be mental strength missing from him.

I don't know how true this is but when I was working in Madrid during the season last year, I read in some local paper that he was faking injury because he was going through some things.

No one offers enough for Madrid to be interested I guess. A year ago United wanted him for good money when he came off a great season and he nearly got sold, but Carlo wanted him to stay and cover so they blocked it last minute. Things are different now.

He is off to Monaco for a loan. I hope he doesn't return although Inter were interested if I am not mistaken. Rafa thinking that Arbeloa and Nacho can cover for Marcelo is probably the most idiotic idea though.

Especially if he is going to continue to play Isco on the right which makes Carvajal's/Danilo's job much harder.
