Barçapocalypse NOW!
He didn't have a good match, but still showed more desire than the rest of the team, and was the only real danger Brazil had to take care of... He should have stayed retired from that circus...

This game was the exact proof that the team is greater than the individual, argentina isnt a team, its a random collection of players who were born at the same country more or less at the same decade.

Brazil isnt such a big team (at least if we consider how they did at the copa/wc) and i doubt they will look so impressive against a more proper team or will reach semi/final at next world cup althoguh they sure has potential, and it is not because they have a top squad but you just saw how good the chemistry between the players, when messi plays in barca/argentina/(if he would play for india) he is still the best player in the world, but he need a good team to shine just like anybody else, I havent seen argentina at 1986 and despite people said it was medicore besides diego, I am pretty sure without a doubt that as a team they were far better, and this is the problem with the national team, thats why generally messi has more dribbles and shots than in barca, because there is no one to pass to, higuain di maria and aguero plays at the highest levels and di maria even won the UCL with real and was really important to it, why every one of them is absolutely s**t at the national team? because the team itself sucks and this is the proof that the team is way more important, and if it was neymar at argentina and messi for brazil we all know that it was the same if not even a bigger result, because when you measure messi and neymar at barca at the last games you just see that messi is by far has the better form (not to mention the obvious that he is better), after that game I completely lost faith in this team and i dont expect messi to win anything with them, only if thete will be a massive change at the staff and players and method maybe then i will have some hopes.

Best midfielder around
Was about what you can expect from Argentina right now. There's only that much Messi can do. Bauza is a fucking idiot. Anything less than three points against Colombia should be the end of him.

He played great. But he's playing by himself. This team seriously lacks chemistry and just isolates Messi when he has the ball. This is embarrassng football. His teammates really need to find a way to get up to speed b/c this is pathetic.

A perfect example is that run he had at the end where he beat 4-5 players and NOBODY was running with him. NOBODY. That's just absolutely disgusting.

If he stayed retired they wouldn't qualify for the World Cup and he'd get the blame.

As it is if they don't qualify with him he'll still get slaughtered.

He tried but right now it looks like he has zero chemistry with his teammates in attack, Bauza looks like he doesn't have a clue and Argentina's defence and midfield looks very poor.

the ARG NT will have a few days together where they can practice and learn to play together. Messi will do much better on Tuesday and his teammates will work better together. Brazil is a good team, look again very promising. They look like they could challenge at next WC, where Neymar will be at his peak.
Anyway, I think ARG will win next game and will turn things around.
Then, of course, comes the long trip back home so don't expect Messi to be at his best against Malaga. He has already proven that he needs a week or so to fully recover after return from Argentina.

Their backline is straight trash. And Mascherano...Dios, did he look slow. They need a complete overhaul of their back four.

sad to watch, i mean, im not from argentina, but cmon, on paper, they have best attack in the world, with the best player of all time and they cant make profit from that, just opposite, they appoint coaches like maradona, tata martino to lead them, player like di maria, higuan just dont give a shit about national team, and still, messi get all the criticizm when they fail

Its just so sad to watch that. You have the best player of all time and yet everyone else just watches. It's like no one is even trying to get to his wavelength. I think this is due to bad coaching b/c the coach should be grilling the players for this ineptitude.
