Maybe they know they can't get Bellerin this summer (obvious long-term choice, let's be real), but in 2017 instead. And with Roberto getting RB minutes, Barça could promise Denis the MF minutes he needs. Not that I'd trust Aleix Vidal as the 1st RB choice. However, it's not like Vidal is Douglas or Adriano, and he still has to prove himself. Wouldn't be the end of the world for just one season.

Alba was excellent in european cup 2012, thats a bit different.
Theres not much available in Rb, thats true. But to buy another okish RB that will take up another spot is just meh.
Douglas, Vidal, and now another..just go for Bellerin or nothing, atleast he has sell on value.
It feels like were building a big squad of mediocre players.
Our midfield has alot of meh players after Iniesta and Busquetes.
Our defence after the starting 4 is alot of mediocre old and injured players that arent even sellable.
Our attack after MSN are nonexistant.
Roberto and Rakitic can stay, the rest we could just aswell sell off.

this .. i can't believe we are spending big bucks for a forward ( ex:gramiero) who will never get to play and neglecting the RB.. but yeah, bllrin or nothing

Bartra, Vermaelen, Douglas, Adriano and Alves are all leaving, meaning, that our board need to break the bank this summer. There is no way around it.

We need a LB, CB, RB and Lucho wants a D. Suárez (€3m) and a CF.

There is no way we can cover all positions with the quality needed on budget of only €60-80m.

I won't be surprised if we didn't even spend 60M in total.Very good chance we skip signing a RB this year as both Vidal & Roberto could do the trick
LB&CF is for back up so f we paid 20M for attacker,4M for Davinson,10M for Lemos and 14M for Guerreiro that is 48M .3M for D.Suarez and here we go.51M for Barca new signings

Is there an issue with vidal since everyone wants us to buy a starting RB this summer.

well there is issues not one .. the man one is him being a winger at Sevilla and he played 4 or 5 games as a right back before we panick-bough him. a winger to replace a RB seems odd

You just mentioned one.

And I thought that thing between lucho and him was the reason. If that is the reason then we played him RB a few matches at the start of the year and he did really well.

Thats very common for Barca full backs.

Its not like you care about us signing a RB either if your attitude is "Bellerin or no one" just like "Thiago Silva or no one". Prepare to be disappointed. Bellerin is hyped up like crazy in here right now. People obsess about him like he is the only option. Its ridiculous to pay big money for a player of that quality. I'd much rather just go with Sergi Roberto in that case.

I think we need a RB, but if we cannot get a world class and young RB now, I wouldn't mind saving the money, letting Roberto and Vidal cover that position for a season. The more important positions are CB, LB and 1 forward (either young prospect or a backup like Nolito, etc.). That's 3 players we should really try and secure. After that, we can assess our RB options next season.

If we do manage to get a world class RB, that's great - but it looks unlikely. It's a pity we don't seem to ever get these out of the blue signings like Bayern seem to - How many people knew about Costa before he moved - they've done something similar with Sanches - he may or may not succeed, but the point is I would like to see signings like these.
