Even MLS would be better than Qatar.

In what sense?

Could he command £8m a year for doing F all? At least in the US there is a certain level of competitiveness.

Qatar only have 26 matches a year, no other side cups to put up with.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013–14_Qatar_Stars_League#Teams look at the map LOL He'll be doing a maximum of about 100 miles travel in total, if that, throughout the entire league campaign.

It's a really really relaxed league. for 3 years? Hell yes. Good move.

A great way for Xavi to make much money without doing very much. From his perspective, it's a great move financially. Also players like Nilmar and Raul already playing in the league whom he can meet up with.

he shouldn't leave. he should continue another season, and retire here. he deserve to get the privilege of retiring here. I don't understand whats wrong with us, when it gets to the later stage of player.

Can't we simply allow our legends to end their career here.

Can't endlessly try to stop him from going, seems his mind is set and the board tried to handle it as smooth as possible, opening the possible for him to return and coach in a few years time.

The last year the expression on Xavi`s face is one of frustration and one of he knows he cant effect the game like he wants.

Spot on. Its time for young hungry talent...We all want FC Barcelona to win the big trophy's, That means no room for sentiment.
Xavi out Koke in

Prediction: no big trophies this year. Not because of Xavi being at Barça or not; he's irrelevant. It's because he's not the problem.
