Villarato!
Perez made a saving!?! You should be working for the Syrian foreign office!

You paid 67 million for him in 2009, paid him 10 million a year so in total you spent 107 million on a player that played 85 times for you! He scored 23 goals at a cost of 4.65 million a goal.

Great savings made. Madrid the team for the austerity era!

And we're still making money. Imagine that.

You making a lot of money off of RM are you? :shakeshead:

Corrupt corporations make money all the time, has nothing to do with brilliant financial acumen let alone sporting success, especially in RM's case (trophy)

That's what we, as fans, love most about supporting a club - that they make money but win precious little

This debate about footballers and club making money is getting really boring...Football clubs spend majority of their revenues on transfers and wages and there should be no debate about ethics in such scenario....what else should real do with their revenue?

Didn't Perez say he makes 100 bucks out of each shirt rma sells since Beckham and it fully covers the transfer sums and salaries? :VdB:

Each way, Milan did the same with Sheva, he came back, after 2 seasons, and except for making profit he was a lost cause. So is Kaka probably.

I meant football clubs spending money....the whole criticism that Real waste money is ridiculous because they can afford to waste money and it's in their interest to drive transfer fees up...if average price of top players goes up to around 60m then only they can afford them and they will be able to cement their place as elite and not be challenged by likes of Dortmund who challenged them last season simply because of good management...........

so you prefer a managament spending money like idiots(no CL final in over a decade) over the way Dortmund wisely manage their players and spending

I don't but I can understand their thinking....Dortmund like success wont last for long and they will lose their best players to Real Madrid's of the world and their champions league failure is simply down to poor football management and inability to build a team out of top individual players but I think their current team is well balanced and can match any team europe..............

Definitely going into the right direction by signing Kaka and Matri and selling KPB and probably SES...
