I feel like a large portion of the problems and uncertainty around his contract and rumors like United have to do with his Brother Yannick Umtiti. Sure agents want to get the best for his client but I think he really jumped the shark with the demands they were wanting.

With Yannick being his agent it seemed no progress was being made and it looked like there was a decent chance of him leaving this summer. But Sam realized that things weren't going anywhere with his brother being his agent and decided to hire a Veteran agent that represents Pique and Rakitic and one that is well respected around Barcelona. and it seems Sam finally got a good offer that he likes and here we are.

Family is Family but sometimes you got to realize that having someone like your brother or dad being your agent might not be the greatest idea and Sam realized this.
