Martin Braithwaite

He makes so many runs as a 9 and creates situations where all you have to do is cross the ball so he can tap it in, I don't get why he's not passed to more often

If our players actually passed the ball for tap-ins, he would have 2-3 goals today. Numerous situation when he was wide open and they just didn't pass it.

Not an easy game for him, in fact low blocks don't suit him at all. Still needs to work his socks off but I agree however, that the so-called more technical players, especially Griezmann get in a good position and instead of moving it forward inevitably turn and play it back, its extremely frustrating.

He's the only one playing with a goalscoring intent and as a true striker. It's fuking pathetic that the only striker that this team has is him.

He has to be starting all the games in the meantime, definitely makes the team better. The team should also be delivering more crosses across goal for him to poach or tap on.

I said before the match that since he's not starting we won't be scoring any goals or 1 at most. Look what happened? In the modern game you need a striker. Playing with two 10's is shooting yourself in the foot.

He was shit. Barca were better from moment changed formation.

Runs about like headless chicken and offered little on the ball or any threat in box.

And what exactly did Griezmann or Trincao do? Tactically you are giving a huge break to the other team's defense with no true striker on the pitch. No runs to worry about and no headers from crosses to worry about. The Juve CB's don't have to do shit because all our players are too far from the box.

They were shit as well.... what kind of argument is that?

Braithwaite just looked like what he is... a hardworker who is not a striker and has nowhere near the technical ability required.

Are you trying to make out Braithwaite was a threat for the Juve CBs?

They dealt with him easily.

I am saying it's better to have him on the pitch than Griez or Trincao. It is redundant to have both of them with Messi on the pitch. At least MB9 offers something new instead of having a Messi-Wish! version and a Dembele-light

No, he did offer threats in the bax, but the ball wasn't crossed to him. They were times Dest would've crossed the ball but he passed back instead.
Don't also forget that he had to play as a hybrid winger, defend and also make runs in the box. The team is actually shit, but worse shit without him right now
