His he hit Higuain is the head with his knee. His freaking knee in his head. Thats incredibly dangerous play and a foul it is at the very least.

Higuain should count his lucky stars that he didnt get knocked out right there.

It was indeed a clear foul on Higuain but it's not like it was the ref's only mistake. All in all he allowed way too much and that challenge by Höwedes was a clear red.

How is a stretched foot comparable to punching the ball away?? It's dangerous yes, but so is every duel where heads clash can't take everything away

His fist wasn't even close to Higuain's face, nor was Higuain's face close to the ball.
It looked brutal, alright, but was nothing but a regular player to player impact.
btw, if that is supposed to be a penalty, then sure as shit the double body-check against Kramer before would had been a penalty as well.

It is not question of he hit first the ball, foul not foul....it was not mandatory to jump with the knee on the head of Higuain, he could avoid it , it is really dangerous such an action that might actually lead to serious consequences. Not few people immediately reminded the criminal episode of Schumacher / Battiston WC 82.....
Imo it wasnt a foul of Neuer, it was a player to player impact.
But for sure it was not a foul of Higuain, simply ridiculous that the ref gave that.

Said that, imo Neuer is absolutely the best goalkeeper in the world.

He jumped and he flew with his knee of the head of Higuain. Imo it was not necessary, he could avoid it, he could hit the ball without a knee on the head of Higuain, but honestly no problem, i'am not criticizing him, but as said, it was not mandatory such action.
