all those players were in their prime back then. couple that with MSN in their prime. no shit we looked good.

in the end it seems the players pulled themselves up and won it all as enrique was nearly sacked by them. xavi won the day and saved his ass. now he is revered here like a world class manager. his record after us speaks for itself.

Suddenly Lucho is a deity in here.

Well with Tata, Valverde and Setien before/after it's not that hard to look like an unreal coaching genius in comparison

Yeah Lucho wasn't perfect at all, and got his fair share of criticism back then as well. Always liked his personality though, and not a bad coach.

Think the respect the players had for him and his mentality played a big part. Same with Pep, Zidane etc hopefully Koeman too.

Imagine winning the CL with:

An Instagram Merchant as your defender

Mr. Cry At Halftime as your Left Back

An overrated tree as your defensive midfielder

The backpass merchant as your central midfielder

The walking simulator as your star player

Truly the GOAT :worthy:

And the most deadliest front line ever at their peak.

One thing we need from future coaches is certainly his mentality. No way Barca wins anything with these satisfied old geezers, who have lost all their youthful aggression and ambition. Also don't-give-a-fuck attitude towards star players and veterans. You play shit? You're in a doghouse. Pique learned that lesson.

Since Pep we had only soft coaches (bar Lucho).

If you look at the names, you'll see unproven coaches for top level. Bar?a should not gamble with the coach, we should go for one of the best, no matter the price.

We should aim at Klopp/Pep level, not 2nd tier or hipster choices.
