MVPS... Jordan 5.. second equal on list. Can make that 6 if want to make it finals MVPs
Balondors... Messi 7 and likely to become 8.. all time record by far.

Top Scorers in Football..Messi will retire no1.
Top Point Scorers in Basketball.. Joradan currently 5th.

Top assisters..Messi no1 all time.
Jordan.. not in top 50?

Titles.. Messi all time on titles won for any individual and won everything could in game.
Titles..Jordan 10th equal with others.

Sport is not determined by what you lose but by what you win.... A player that is good enough to get to lots of finals in football is going to lose their fair share but to argue losing a final is worse than going out in semis etc is moronic.

Can put up cases on both sides but truth is the sports are hard to compare.

MJ is like this Ultimate Final Boss character whose competitiveness is buffed! to the absolute max. It's also what made him a psycho :lol: No one comes close to him. Even if odds against them, he'd find a way to snatch the win at all costs

gotta admire that. Didn't give a f bout stats for instance. Ditto as Messi here


BUT

don't forget that in footie, you get much less time on the ball vs basketball

what is it, something like 3 min and a few per game

so no matter how good you are, much less opps to impact the game hence any comparison attempt would always be a stretch


and anyways, universe big enough for 2 GOATS

+ they're personalities are so diametrically different, kinda makes a cool Ying Yang flow :cool:

Messi has won what he has won and that is more than anyone who ever played the game.

Messi won the WC without Xavi or Iniesta. The 2015 CL Xavi had declined and not a starter and Iniesta was not the player he was. Terrible argument.

Jordan never made a single series final without Pippen or Phil if you want to focus on team mates/coaches.

Jordan never won a single title without Phil... Phill won 5 without him.

Xavi and Iniesta never won a CL before Messi came along either.

Can argue those points both ways.

I am not trying to offend you but please go outside, read a book or start jogging. :D Do you realize how many hours have you spent in this thread just to argue with everyone else that Messi isn't the GOAT? I don't know what are you doing in life but this just isn't healthy anymore. It's some kind of a weird obsession that became even worse after Messi won WC. Honestly, you really need to find some kind of distraction.

thanks for your concern for your information im watching netflix on the side so its pretty chill

im not arguing messi is not the the goat. that debate is over. but the barca/messi bubble here is so thick some actually think messi is comparable to mj, lol, or that messi's career has been much more glorious than is actually the case.

Messi the goat and it will eat at Ronaldo for rest of his life... and hes not alone on that it seems.

people here want to forget that messi has a preeeeetty long list of humiliations and failures that are pretty unbecoming of anyone vying for the title of goat


a lot of revisionism here pretending messi hasnt been as awful in the CL as he has in fact been for like 4-5 years now or pretending messi wasnt a complete fail against RM for 3 straight years before he left (and in his first psg season as well) or pretending he didnt lose 5 international finals in which he missed a pk or pretending he hasnt been humiliated in the CL multiple times

Football is the global game, you have about 10x more people playing football than basketball, so for your to rise to the very top is a monumental feet.

For basketball, if you're bored 6'4+ that's 25% of the job done already.

Nothing is basketball is even remotely comparable to The WC. Or even the CL.

Messi's 1 WC is about 4/5 NBC championships.
