fair enough but i dont think the messi camp wants to go the direction of most x anything

pele has more wcs
mbappe has more wc final goals
CR has more CL goals
CR has more CL KO goals
CR has more intl matches goals
CR and Seedorf have more CL titles


etc etc etc

dont think that way of thinking about things helps messi lol. MJ is just pure greatness. messi doesnt even come close. theres prob no other 'goat' who was humiliated or that has had a greatest losing streak than messi. in the sports GOAT ladders messi is pretty unremarkable

They're both GOATS and Aliens in their respective sports

if really wanna compare, one could say Messi is more moody, hence the lows and sometimes shifting out of the game and MJ is more the competitor.

makes likes of CR or Mbappe who are known for their drive look like minions

MJ is the type who'd gladly let his teammate score the winner if it means winning

dude hated losing more than basking in glories

if talking God Tier talent and their respective gaps with other players, Messi wins it :alien:

Haha you think the claim is Messi has 'most of everything'?

Nah the point is Messi will be all time top scorer, all time for assists and most decorated player.

While MJ has none of that in his own sport.... the point is not Messi holds every sinngle record in the whole wide world.. but some fairly significant ones to show he dominated football in way no one in history has.

Can argue both ways.

you make good points but


points to points in MJ's career that are even remotely comparable to:

messi's 0-7, 8-2 to bayern
the 0-4 to liverpool
5 international finals lost
missing PK in copa america final
failing to score or assist vs RM (direct rival) for like 9 games in a row
copa del rey final loss to RM 2011

you wont find that in MJ's record. because he was the absolute goat. messi should be thankful the comparison is even being considered lol

You cant even compare the number of finals Messi was in to MJ.

MJ doenst top any NBA stat nor has he won he most.

In terms of Messi no will have scored/assisted more or won as much in his sport and it is the more global of the two.

Anyway Messi is GOAT in football and that will eat at Ronaldo for the rest of his time on this earth.

the point is that even if MJ isnt the top assister or scorer, the performed and delivered when it mattered the most, which is why he played in 6 NBA finals and won them all.

it matters little if messi ends up scoring 1000 goals against eibar, betis, and st etienne in france. who cares. in the CL kos and WC Kos his record is preeeeetty mediocre. plenty of other footballers have scored more WC ko goals and CR outdoes messi in CL kos without a doubt.

his under performance in final after final after final and his CL failures for years on end are a huge stain on his resume and in no way allows a comparison to MJ

MJ got bounced out in the first round of playoffs several times and never beat Larry Bird in a playoff series. Got sent packing by the Pistons multiple times too. Everyone has ups and downs, but the number of ups on Messi and Jordan's resume is above other sporting figures.

But in the meantime, do cry more OG :lol:

no goat worthy of that title would have cried the way messi did in the 0-4 at anfield nor would have participated in the demolitions that were the 7-0 and 8-2 to bayern. simple as that.
