Well, Monaco is a good place for a young player with potential.

It just means he wasn't good or mature enough.

Even a bum (at Monaco) like Tielemans managed to be sold for a profit to a PL club.

Not sure if he was going to make it here or not if he had stayed.

But another good example that moving early to teams like Monaco may not always work out.

With the way this dudes career is progressing, it would be a achievement even to get back to Barca B.

He clearly didn't have enough quality. Good players usually shine at Monaco. This guy was not even close to regular first team football there.
Saying that, the Monaco team is in shambles after they failed to replace the whole team they sold following their title.

Out of three "can't miss talents our stupid board let leave" over the last two years two of them are now playing for Huesca in Segunda and one is at Real Sociedad B in Segunda B.

They surely wouldn't do much worse had they stayed here. :)

Mboula was good when he was here but it seemed like his head got too inflated and wanted too much too soon.

Dude thought he could be a Sancho, Mbappe or Pre-Barca Dembele, guys who broke out at young ages and be key figures for their teams at that age. But reality hit him in the fucking face pretty hard you can say. Turns out he wasn't as good as we and he probably thought he was.

Still very young though to be fair so it's not the end of the world for him.

He has signed a 4-year contract with Mallorca. Another overhyped former La Masia youngster.

We need to provide context before criticizing someone.

He made bad decisions and had luck, he was really talent fast with a nose for goals. He should have stayed and developed under Garcia Pimienta, but he went to Monaco and just wasn?t ready for that level add a couple of long term injuries that have seriously hurt his development.

Still 21. Has got at least 3-4 seasons before we can say anything. One/ even half a season is enough for a breakthrough.

Agree. You can easily argue the climate within the club has not favored the development of youth players under Bartomeu & Rosell. Nevertheless, far too early to deem him a failure. Arriving at 18 at Monaco and making a CL debut before helping Huesca get promotion to the Primera. Let's see how he plays this year with Mallorca and whether he can help them get promoted

which, by definition makes him overhyped, failing to see what context Messi983 didn't provide here.
We ,media and fans, overhyped him, same for Monaco and he himself fell to the hype and went for the easier money.
Won't blame him, if I was an agent I would tell my players to get money now and after I ensure some wealth think about situations.

Thing is, it is the other way around.
It is the player who should prove himself success before we call him one. Not us waiting years to write him off. Success is very rare in football.

Could go either way. The player is in the process of making and shaping his career. We should wait a little bit before we make any juddment.
