Gareth Bale

LOL at the hate. Bale is world class and anyone who says otherwise is deluded or can't see past their madrid hate.
What an absurd statement.

Bale is not good. You've been fooled by hype.

Bale is lacking in some of the most basic footballing skills, and if you were to watch him over the course of the past seasons, it should be very apparent.

If you were to watch a child play FIFA 16 as Ronaldo, that would be an accurate representation of Bale. Someone who can kick hard, run fast, but still make himself look like a fool with his seeming complete lack of understanding of the game.

Like a very physically fit chicken running around with its head cut off: Gareth Bale.

That's not to say such a player cannot fill a niche position, and be successful. But to consider him anything close to "world class" is completely ridiculous. Perhaps in a specific tactical setup, there could be room for an Olympic sprinter to be utilized to great success, but that would hardly make that sprinter a good footballer; just a successful one.

I recognize that if the media beats you down with a fictional narrative for enough years, it can become difficult to resist, but Bale as a top footballer is a myth.

Not that I mind Real Madrid continuing to handicap themselves with him though.

Wait till the season starts. Watching mediocre, disorganized European national teams embarrass themselves over the summer is not the best place to judge players.;)

Totally disagree with that Bale is world class and one of best wide players in world.

At times last season he was Madrids best player and has carried a fairly average Wales team for majority of run to European semi final.

Far from Madrid being stuck with an average player he must be getting close to making him their main man in the front three.

What wide players do you think are better than him? Other than those at Barca and Madird?

They've really handicapped themselves with the 10th and 11th Champions League titles :)

Not the best of matches, but Portugal gave him alot of room for longshots, they were lucky he hit them straight at the gk, if one of them had gone to the sides if might very well have been a goal.

Yeah, he will be more decisive in their quest for trophies this year than Cristiano, but I believe everyone knows that by now - he is so damn good. The big question is if he will stay fit.

Came in here to share some love for Florentino Perez.

Massively overspent on this waste of space and forces every coach to play him ahead of superior players.

As long as Real persist with Bale and Ronaldo, Liga is ours.
